Libra — Matching ornate wood and gesso antique frames acquired from an antique dealer in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, unified with a fir tree root from the dry bed of an Oregon lake, and a Central Oregon high desert juniper branch.
Libra is my reminder that harmony is easily grasped if one is conscious of the shared worth and distinction in the disparate.
Approximate Dimensions: 53" W, 30" H, 8" D
This is QUINCY - Fusion Frames NW Sculpture
Repurposed arched 1900s wood and gesso frame, unified with a ponderosa pine branch near Sisters, Oregon.
I appreciate how Quincy reflects a juxtaposition of shyness and unapologetic energy.
Great article by GO! Magazine and David Jasper at the Bend Bulletin. My work was even used as the intro. What an honor!
If you’re in or around Central Oregon this weekend, come see me!

Bigger than ever, Art in the High Desert returns to Central Oregon It would seem nothing can kill Art in the High Desert.
Yep.
Excited for the return of ! Come see me and my newest work Aug 25-27
I accidentally found this pairing while setting up for Park City Arts Festival.
I’m really liking the balance and movement between these two — Morpheus and Lexus.
I’m here looking back at Lorax and realizing that I haven’t made a fusion frame with lichen in quite a while. Do you think it’s time?
It was a spectacular honor to get this recognition at Arts Festival. Thank you so much and I’m already looking forward to next year!
A HUGE thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers for putting on a spectacular show, and thanks to everyone that came to see me this last weekend! I was honored to be part of it and I’m already looking forward to seeing everyone next year!

Jacques made it to his new home in Italy! Check out the perfect poem that found to accompany him, and also look at these photos of his stellar home! Once in a while, wonderful people step into our lives and bring a bit of sunshine with them.
Such a tiny portion of my inspiration. May I please have more hours in the day?

Just revisiting Archemedes. I really appreciate the energy between this juniper branch and ornate antique frame!

I’m here having a look back at Artemis, and thinking it might be time for another curved piece.
Yep, it’s time.
Kaa- Repurposed antique art deco wood frame acquired from a southern Oregon antique merchant unified with a manzanita branch reclaimed from the High Desert of Central Oregon.
Both elements flaunt their original personalities, just as when discovered.
In Kaa, I am inspired to know an incredible connection to the wonderfully unpredictable movement in nature.

Jacques - Antique nautical (wood & gesso) frame acquired from an antique merchant in the Willamette Valley of Oregon unified with a sagebrush branch reclaimed from Central Oregon's High Desert.
Achieving singularity while preserving the independent identity of both frame and branch was a bit of a drawn out process. Culminating in an aged, wry nautical soul, bedecked with subtle browns and blue-green patina.
Jacques reminds me of the importance of purpose, the necessity to keep going, and how circumstance can shape one in ways not imagined.
Approximate Dimensions: 26" W, 28" H, 9" D
