Finally, the body and mind research combines for Western science to bring us proof of what we already knew. Magic is at our fingertips. :)
Ms. Barbara Lee Catherine Jackson Baltimore, my spiritual mother and the light of my life for the past 38 years, transitioned into the spiritual realm this morning. She was the matriarch of her church and community and she never left the house looking less than fabulous. She nursed me back to health when I was born with pneumonia and countless times after that. She always knew the perfect thing to say when I was troubled, and she also knew when silence was the perfect thing to say. Growing up I spent most of my days by her side. The love and joy her family and church brought into my life lifts up my heart on the darkest days. I learned about discrimination first hand by observing the stark contrast of how she was treated by doctors compared to how my white mother was treated. I vowed to help make healing knowledge and skills accessible to ALL as much as I possible can throughout my life, and to fight for equality in every scene of life. As today, MLK Day represents, Barbara taught me how to give love and compassion to others no matter how much hate they show you, “because they need it most.”
I love you, Ms. Barbara. I see you in the spirit of life everywhere and I know you are surrounded by the love and light of this magnificent universe. As our favorite song sings, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine. Let it shine! Let it shine! Let it shine!”
THANK YOU, to the amazing Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab team for highlighting the benefits of acupressure points and EFT! I’ve been observing incredible benefits using these techniques in my clients (esp. pelvic and ge***al pain clients) for almost 20 years now and I’m SO happy to see this gaining national attention. I 💝 you, H&W!
OK, so over the next year, I’m going to slowly begin to share my experience with brain surgeries and craniotomies and cervical dissection surgeries. I have continued to discover the magic of the mind, and what the body is capable of healing from. I will share my favorite tips and tools on coping, not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I practice what I preach, and my life (that I love) is proof of that. In the meantime, these are the best ice packs I have ever used. The ice stays ice for hours on end, and the bag never gets wet! It is soft and gentle on fresh wounds, and easily molds to the shape of the body part you need it on. It took me four surgeries and many nights getting soaking wet with ice water (as the plastic bags would often break), and then my mom found these on Amazon and they are a game changer. I recommend 100%! Thank you, mama!
new year, everyone! May 2024, bring you inspiration to continue envisioning, manifesting, and moving towards your greatest self. 🌈🌟💝
