Meet Josephine, a patient who received cervical cancer screening through our Mobile Health for Mamas program! Kenya. Before Mobile Health for Mamas, she had only heard about HPV testing at a hospital but didn’t have the opportunity to do it herself.
“I wanted to test for HPV after a local community health volunteer visited me. I believe it is important to do HPV testing and know my status, and I would tell other women to get screened because it was so easy.”
Take it from Josephine: screening for cervical cancer is quick and painless, and can ultimately be lifesaving. Donate to help us continue reaching women with vital care.
According to the CDC, up to 93% of cervical cancers could be prevented by Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination and routine screening.
By increasing access to early detection and treatment, CureCervicalCancer is saving lives.
In addition to celebrating 3 years of Mobile Health for Mamas, this month we’re celebrating 1 Year of our Mobile Laboratory and 1 Year of CureCervicalCancer Kenya! 🎉
Our Mobile Laboratory is custom-built, solar-powered, and can analyze over 700 samples for HPV in 1 day. HPV is the WHO-gold standard for cervical cancer screening, so having our mobile lab allows us to reach women in the most remote region with the highest quality screening methods. 🧪
Our CureCervicalCancer Kenya Team has been a vital addition to our organization. With 6 team members on the grounds, living in the communities we serve, we are committed to strengthening local leadership for cervical cancer prevention in Kenya. 🇰🇪
Through your support, we can keep innovating and reaching more women with life-saving cervical cancer care! 💪🏽🩵🥳
This month marks 3 Years of Mobile Health for Mamas, our comprehensive cervical cancer testing and treatment program–the FIRST program in Kenya bringing cervical cancer prevention directly to women’s homes and communities!

We were honored to showcase our comprehensive Mobile Health for Mamas testing and treatment program as part of their exploration into global women’s rights. By sharing our work with international leaders, we are garnering vital support for delivering life-saving cervical cancer care to women at the last mile.
Our comprehensive Mobile Health for Mamas program brings self-sample HPV testing directly to the doorsteps of women in hard-to-reach regions of the world, stopping cervical cancer before it starts.
Through early detection and treatment, we can eliminate cervical cancer and save the lives of hundreds of thousands of women.

It’s Vaccination Awareness Month❕💉🩵
This August, we’re celebrating the importance of vaccinations for preventable diseases. Vaccinations are important because they not only protect you, but also keep diseases from spreading throughout your community.
Cervical cancer is almost entirely preventable through routine HPV vaccination, in addition to regular screening and timely treatment. This month (and every month) join us in advocating for increasing access to the HPV vaccine and other preventative measures for cervical cancer. 🗣️
Take a stand for you and your community – Get vaccinated today!
Meet Kelly Oberio, one of the 300+ Community Health Promoters we trained in Migori County, Kenya in July!
“There are many women who we will see have HPV and cervical cancer. At our community level, women need to have the first priority because they are our wives and mothers who care for our families.” 🩵
We work with CHPs like Kelly to bring life-saving HPV testing and education directly to women’s doorsteps. It is crucial for all community members, especially men, to be advocates for women’s health in the fight to eliminate cervical cancer! 💪🏽
Henrietta Lacks was a remarkable woman whose cells, taken without her consent, changed science forever. Her legacy sheds light on the ethical issues surrounding medical research, consent, and the exploitation of marginalized communities.
Let’s honor Henrietta’s memory by advocating for ethical research practices, informed consent, access to equitable care, and remembering the woman behind the HeLa cells. 🌟🧬
🌍💔 In 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that 94% of the 350,000 cervical cancer deaths occurred in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This tragic disparity is due to limited access to essential public health services, screening, and treatment.
It’s crucial that we work towards bridging these gaps and improving access to life-saving resources and education. Together, we can make a difference! 🌟
📱✨ Our new Mobile Health for Mamas app is revolutionizing the way our Community Health Promoters (CHPs) manage patient data. No more manual entries—now, they capture and update data seamlessly during both home visits and mobile outreaches boosting both efficiency and accuracy.
Here’s to smarter solutions for better health! 🌟💪
🌍✨ We’re bringing comprehensive life-saving care to the last mile.
