A perfect place to start the consultation is with a photo. This gives the stylist some direction of what you like and how you interpret what you see. Your version of a golden blonde and your stylist may be different.

Bring a few different photos including one you don’t like.

When looking for photos find someone with similar skin tone to yours so you understand how that hair color will reflect off your skin.

Let’s go dark and add length

Have you thought about going dark ? What if you toned down your highlights. This will keep some fun dimension in your hair.

Warmer weather is upon us and the sunscreen is coming out. We all love the convenience of aerosol sunscreens. In most sunscreens there are ingredients that will turn your extensions an undesirable pinky salmon color.

You need to use a mineral-based clean sunscreen.

Color matching is a very important skill to have when installing extensions. Don’t want to see a drop between your clients natural hair and the extensions , then match the mid-length and ends. Don’t worry about the root area.

If the hair is lighter on the top and depth underneath go with the lighter tone and only add a few pieces with depth.

The tone of color is just as important. If the hair is warmer and you choose a cooler shade things won’t blend same goes for the opposite.
