Grand Lodge of Minnesota
Freemasonry is the world’s first and largest fraternal organization. Freemasonry is still relevant in the 21st century.
Freemasons are taught the principles of honesty, truth, and courage in all facets of life and are guided to make a positive impact in their community. We make today’s world a better place not only by teaching men important values but also by raising funds to help those in need. Even though Freemasonry is “old” on a historical timeline, we are still important in the 21st century as timeless values

Brethren, your longstanding relationship with this clinic is a cornerstone of its existence, reflecting the deep ties between our fraternity and the community we serve. While these funds—over $180,000—are a remarkable achievement, they were also made possible by the generous support of many in our community, both within and outside the Masonic family.
We are thrilled to share that we’ve raised over $180,000 for the Minnesota Masonic Children's Clinic for Communication Disorders! ✨
A special thank you to the incredible supporters who came together at the Greysolon Ballroom in Duluth, where over $160,000 was raised in just one night. Your generosity truly makes a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.
We are forever grateful for your belief in our mission. A special shoutout to our sponsors who made this possible:

“Historic” - the most commonly shared word during the joint Master Mason Degree at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute in Minneapolis (6/8/24). 🌿
Cataract No. 2 and Lake Harriet No. 277 combined forces on what was one of MN Freemasonry’s most memorable events in recent years. The last time degree work took place at this venue was circa 1946 (when the building was still owned by Cataract No. 2). 🏛️

“The family knew they were in good hands at M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital.”
Check out this incredible story:
With so much unwavering joy, it’s hard to believe Michael Borg survived kidney failure, respiratory failure, and two different kinds of cancer all before he was 4 years old. The family knew they were in good hands at M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital, home to some of the top pediatric kidney and cancer programs in the country.
“All of the departments that care for Michael have been equally as impressive in their care and compassion,” said Tricia, Michael’s mom. As Michael continues to grow, his family and care team are excited to see how the rest of his incredible story unfolds. Read more. ➡ https://bit.ly/4aVYGGp

Valentine’s Day was extra sweet this year for patients and families at M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. Check this out:
Join us on March 23rd for a discussion on rebooting the pieces of the Masonic puzzle: Membership, Mentorship, and Leadership.
🏛️
Before we become preoccupied with just GROWING, it is vital for us to ensure we are actively ENGAGING and RETAINING our existing members. If we fail to provide relevance and meaning in our members’ lives, replacing those who didn’t stick around with more paper members will keep us in the same cyclical pattern. 🔄
Successful membership engagement and retention are closely tied with lifelong relationship building (i.e., mentoring), not just short-term memorization coaches, and all of us becoming students of leadership. The best leaders in Masonry are students of Lodge leadership, and anyone who wants to be a leader in lodge (officer or otherwise) must choose to be a student of the subject. Just like in life, if you want to be good at something, you must study it. 📚
Together, we will take a fresh look at how Membership, Mentorship, and Leadership are core pieces of the Masonic puzzle 🧩

On Jan. 31, 2024, Western Star Lodge No. 26 presented matching funds to Albert Lea Salvation Army Capt. Marie Lewis. Brother Masons were part of the 2023 Bell RInging efforts for the Salvation Army in December.
Between money raised bell ringing, matching funds from MMC, and another donor in the Albert Lea Community, the lodge donated a whopping $16,073.94!
