We believe WFHB's antenna was hit by lightning at the station during this storm. Our signals are out and so are our phones and wifi. We do not have an estimate yet of when we will get back on air but please stay tuned for updates.

Obviously, with 2 days left in our fund drive, this is terrible timing. Please continue to donate by going on our website WFHB.org. We can use all the help we can get!

Duke Energy Substation
(11th and Rogers)

Be part of something special as the first mural comes to life at the Duke Energy Substation. No experience needed-local artists will be there to guide volunteers. Duke Energy is gifting volunteers a free t-shirt!

πŸ‘‰ https://bton.in/duke1

Volunteers are required to sign a waiver ahead of time, as walk-up participation is not permitted on the day of the event.

The mural design represents a collaboration among three local artists, each contributing their distinct artistic styles to create a unified work that emphasizes community togetherness.

Project Background

The City of Bloomington Economic and Sustainable Development, in partnership with Duke Energy, announced a new public art project to place murals on the Duke Substation walls located at the northwest corner of W 11th St and N Rogers St. Due to the size of the structure, this mural project will be carried out in multiple installations. This mural will be the first of five to be installed. For each of the five installations, a group of artists will be selected to develop a mural design that reflects the general theme of the project. Duke Energy has given a grant of $25,000 to support this project.
