Our second graders have been busy practicing their form drawing.

Form drawing is a foundational practice in Waldorf education that plays a crucial role in a child's development. Through the rhythmic and repetitive movements of drawing various forms, students enhance their fine motor skills, and spatial awareness.

We had a beautiful week full of nature, creativity, and exploration last week during our Nature Art camp! From crafting nature journals to finding our special "sit spots," sketching beautiful plants, and creating amazing duct tape art, each day promised new adventures and learning opportunities. We also be pressed flowers, made sun print t-shirts, enjoyed delicious lavender ice cream, and even experimented with marigold dyeing!

We've been reflecting on the fun we had during our outdoors camp a few weeks ago.

🏥 First Aid Building: Learning essential first aid skills empowered our students to handle emergencies with confidence and care.

💧 Water Filtration Systems: Discovering how to filter and purify water taught valuable lessons about survival and environmental stewardship.

🏕️ Shelter Building and Camp Setup: From crafting different types of shelters to setting up our campsites, students honed their problem-solving skills and teamwork.

🔥 Fire Safety: Mastering the art of fire safety and building campfires responsibly was a highlight, fostering respect for nature and safety awareness.

These hands-on experiences not only equipped our students with practical skills but also deepened their connection to the natural world and each other. 🌟🌲
