We did a little sleep system testing this last weekend with the vs an off brand vs a normal hammock. Round 1 for quality goes to the

Both hammock tents stayed dry during the rain but the regular hammock got completely soaked. (Yes, we could have put a rain fly over the top)

Bugs really weren’t a problem in any of them but the two hammocks tents performed better since they do have zipped big screens.

Both hammock tents have an air mattress which provided more comfort and you didn’t feel like you were cramped up like the traditional hammock with the having the edge with the ability to slide one end up into lounge mode. With the hammock tents you could sleep on your back, side, or belly with no problem.

Propose of this test was to determine which system we will use this fall for spike camps during archery season. The Haven is heavier because it’s thicker and more durable material but we will be riding the bikes in for these spike camps and the extra weight won’t be a problem.

So far the have the advantage and we’re excited to use that sleep system this fall.

More testing, and a video of how to set these up will be coming in the near future.
