The Top of Tamarack is a unique event where each mile post along the course will be marked with a special token, reminding participants that a great distance has been achieved and that YOU are mentally strong. Runners, hikers and bikers collect as many tokens as they can on their trek up to the summit, then head back down the mountain to celebrate their achievement.

Many of us have grieved the loss of someone taken too soon. Memorial Mile is a poignant part of the Top of Tamarack race, where signs bearing the names of loved ones lost to su***de or mental health struggles are displayed along one mile of the course.

That time I was encouraged to accept a subpar life by a medical professional and also told I’d never be able to manage my mood disorder without psych meds. In todays live I’ll talk about how I’m proving them wrong, and living with bipolar disorder without taking daily psych meds.
