Earlier this month, staff of North End Waterfront Health distributed PPE to restaurants throughout the North End. This effort follows September’s virtual event where a portion of the funds raised was designated to assisting the neighborhood restaurants as they continue to take on immense challenges brought on by the pandemic.

Each bag packed and distributed by NEW Health contained two boxes of masks, one box of gloves, and six face shields for restaurant staff. State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz also joined in delivering the packages throughout the neighborhood.

Many of the neighborhood restaurants are preparing Thanksgiving offerings for your get-togethers this week. 🍁🍂 Whether it's a full feast or a sweet treat for dessert, consider supporting your favorite local spots and check out their takeout menus available for the holiday. 🍽🍷

Taste of the North End 2020 raised funds to help cover critical costs for North End restaurants, including PPE and cleaning supplies. We are grateful to the efforts of NEW Health, Donato Frattaroli Jr., and the event’s sponsors, including State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz.

NEW Health plans to distribute supplies this month; any neighborhood restaurateur interested and in need of support during this challenging time can contact the health center.

A special thank you to all who joined for our live virtual event!✨We were able to watch some of the North End’s most talented chefs at work, and while we weren’t able to celebrate in-person, we came together for the same mission we’ve held for 27 years: to support our neighborhood organizations, schools, programs, and now our beloved restaurants.
