Join us for a vibrant celebration of Uyghur culture at the 2nd annual Uyghur Cultural Festival! This event is open to everyone.

Many people know Uyghurs through China’s genocide towards us. However, many of them have never met any Uyghur or know nothing about its culture. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience the rich traditions and heritage of the Uyghur people. The festival coincides with Eid, adding an extra layer of joy and festivity.

Event Highlights

-Free Food: Enjoy delicious Uyghur cuisine, featuring traditional dishes that showcase the flavors of Central Asia.
-Uyghur Calligraphy: Watch skilled artists demonstrate the beautiful and intricate art of Uyghur calligraphy.
-Henna Art: Get intricate henna designs applied by talented henna artists.
-Information Booths: Learn about Uyghur history, culture, and current Uyghur crisis at our informative booths.

The Greater Boston area is home to a small but vibrant Uyghur community of about 100-200 people. This festival is a wonderful opportunity to connect with and support this dynamic group.

There will be donation boxes at the event. You can support our future work by donating. You may also bring cash to purchase items at the booths, or to give to kids as Eid gifts.
