The Friends enjoyed getting together with sponsors and friends over coffee at today! Thank you to our wonderful presenters, Dr. Sarah Hill, Joe Chabot, Megan DelSesto, and Lisa Seidel, who spoke to the ways Friends funding has impacted their work at Dana-Farber. We are delighted many of our funders could join us today to see the impact of their donations and we are grateful for their continued support!

Saturday evening May 4, 2024 Supporters & Sponsors like us gathered at the Ritz Carlton for the annual Friends of Dana Farber Gala! We are proud to be Sponsors & Supporters of the Friends of Dana Farber, a most distinguished & premier organization with a mission to fund worldwide cancer research & treatment advances.
Guest were given a warm welcome by a most hospitable staff & volunteers. The Gala was emceed by award winning former WCVB Channel 5 Boston anchor & investigative reporter, Susan Wornick! Best of the Best! No one is better than Susan when it comes to making any event a success with her charisma & charm! The evening started with a cocktail reception with scrumptious hors
d'oevres, an open bar all evening, and a savory seated dinner! The evening also included a speaking program by those in the medical field, and a live auction. It was truly a Fabulous Soiree enjoyed by all! A big round of applause and the Blue Ribbon goes to the Staff & Volunteers of the Friends of Dana Farber for their unending dedication & passion in advancing their mission to fund worldwide
cancer research & treatment advances for all types of cancer, including patient services, oncology , & cutting edge treatments!

The Friends Corner Gift Shop at Dana-Farber
re-opened on Smith 3!

Founded by the Friends of Dana-Farber in 1978, Friends Corner provides hospitality and service to Dana-Farber’s patients, visitors, and staff and raises funds to support Dana-Farber’s patient care programs and bright young researchers.

Jen Cunningham Butler, pictured above, helped cut the ribbon in honor of her mother, Sheila Cunningham, Friend’s Founding President and the driving force behind all things Friends – including Friends Corner. Sheila and our other founders understood that patients need safe havens where they can find a distraction from cancer and the outside world even for a few minutes. Friends Corner, our Non-Denominational Chapel, and our art collection are all important pieces of this ongoing effort.

All in-store and online purchases fund research and patient care at Dana-Farber through Friends grants.

Happy International Women’s Day! is a day dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women. This year, we celebrate 46 years of the Friends Board - a dedicated and passionate group of women, who have raised and gifted more than $47 million to cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Thank you to the incredible women of our Board - and to all our supporters and members!

According to Punxsutawney Phil, we only have two more weeks left of winter! Help us create holiday cards for the 2022 season before the snow melts. Submit your winter and holiday themed drawings or photographs for a chance to be featured! Winners will receive two free packs of cards.
