波士頓法輪功學員紀念反迫害25周年 | 720 | 人權 | 大紀元 7月14日中午，波士頓地區一些法輪功學員來到麻州政府大樓前的公園，紀念遭受中共迫害25周年，呼籲人們一起反對並結束這場人權災難。

Last month, a RealClearPolitics article written by Nina Shea, Senior Fellow and Director at the Center for Religious Freedom at Hudson Institute, mentioned the case of Ms. Liu Jinping, a Falun Gong practitioner in Heilongjiang.

"Hundreds of practitioners are reportedly now imprisoned for their beliefs, including Liu Jinping, arrested in 2021 and held and reportedly tortured in Heilongjiang Women’s Prison."

As the 25th anniversary of the persecution of Falun Gong looms, Shea also highlighted the gruesome scope of the Chinese regime's crackdown.

"Hundreds of thousands of [Falun Gong] practitioners were arrested and sent to labor camps, where many disappeared. Substantial evidence indicates that they were murdered under an acknowledged government policy to harvest prisoners’ organs for transplant."

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives has voted to pass the Falun Gong Protection Act.

The timing of this bill falls one month before the 25th anniversary of the persecution of Falun Gong in China on July 20, 2024.

It now heads to the Senate for consideration.

[Introduction of Invited Panel Speakers]

Torsten Trey, M.D., Ph.D. is the founder and executive director of the medical ethics advocacy group Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), an organization nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2016 & 2017 and recipient of a 2019 Mother Theresa Memorial Award for Social Justice. Dr Trey is among those who lead the global movement against forced organ harvesting in China. Considered a leading expert in the field, Dr Trey has co-authored books and published widely in medical journals on this topic. Dr Trey was also featured in the award-winning documentary “Human Harvest.” He is the co-editor of the book “State Organs: Transplant Abuse in China.”

During the 2-day event, Dr Trey will share with us his experience and journey of uncovering and standing up against forced organ harvesting, and his perspectives on how to stop this ongoing heinous crime.

The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC) noted how “persecuted ethnic and religious minorities whom the CCP perceives as threats to territorial integrity and social cohesion” remain a target in its 2023 Annual Report to Congress.

These targets of the CCP’s overseas repression campaign include American Falun Gong practitioners. As recent as May 2023, a Falun Gong-related non-profit was targeted by two Chinese agents acting under the directive of a CCP official.
