Today felt really special.
Over 100 service providers, employers and community organizations came out to City Hall to provide Veterans easy access to supportive services. Wow!
We are so grateful for every single person who made this event possible. To service providers, organizations, community partners, volunteers, and to our staff: thank you! We truly couldn’t do any of it without you!

This morning's Welcome Ceremony was stacked with powerful speakers, including: Francisco Ureña, Secretary of the Department of Veterans' Services; Robert Santiago, Commissioner of the City of Boston's Veterans' Services; Vincent Ng, Director at the VA Boston Healthcare System; Michael Charness, Chief of Staff at the VA Boston Healthcare System; and Brittany Mangini, Director of Food Security and Nutrition at the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance.
What a group! We thank them for joining us today & for all they continue to do to support Veterans.
The National Guard, NECHV staff, and volunteers from J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. are all here at Boston City Hall Plaza setting up for the 2019 Greater Boston Stand Down Event tomorrow! Thank you for all your hard work…we couldn’t do it without you!

Social Security Administration will be on hand at Stand Down to help with applications and cards, and offer information.

Talk with housing specialists from New England Center and Home for Veterans about emergency housing resources at Stand Down on Sept. 30!
The MassRelay Service will be at Stand Down to provide telephones for Veterans with disabilities.
Representatives from MassDOT Registry of Motor Vehicles will be attending Stand Down this year! See them for Mass ID’s, license transactions, registration renewals, and hearings.
Meet with representatives from the Massachusetts Department of Veterans' Services at Stand Down to review financial services and find out about state benefits!
Have questions about child support? Massachusetts Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement will be there to make sure you understand your rights and responsibilities.
If you need help finding meaningful employment and career development opportunities, meet with Hero 2 Hired at Stand Down, from the Massachusetts ESGR.
Catch up on missed vaccinations, delivered by registered nurses from the MA Association of Public Health Nurses. They’ll also be offering evaluation and treatment of foot or nail issues, along with shoe fittings, to make sure you stay comfortable. https://www.facebook.com/groups/52890567232/
