The staff is committed to providing programs and services that will engage students as active learners. Our programs are designed to help students set academic and career goals, understand academic policies and procedures, improve academic performance, and identify the campus resources that will enrich their college experience. The Center for Academic Success and Enrichment consists of Faculty and Peer Mentors, Academic Advisors, Student Success Coaches, and the University Learning Network.

Happy Black History Month Cardinals! Do you know the story of Mary Brickson Hill? Mary was the first Black woman to graduate from MCPHS in 1921. Hill practiced for one year in Boston before receiving an invitation from her sister, Bessie Hill, to assist with the small nursing home that she ran in Norfolk, VA. Hill moved, and together the sisters founded one of the first African-American healthcare centers in Norfolk. [Excerpt from an article written by our friends in Alumni Services.
