Happy St. Patrick's Day! ๐ฎ๐ช๐
Did you know Bostonians were the first to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in North America? In fact, on this day 287 years ago in 1737, Boston's Irish community joined together in festivities of their homeland as a gesture of solidarity among the city's new Irish immigrants, and to honor the memory of the below Patron Saint of Ireland.
One of the most popular ways Suffolk students celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Boston is by attending the South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade which will take place today beginning at 1pm!
The parade will begin at Broadway Station (located on the MBTA Red Line) and will end in Andrew Square.

Meet Abdulaziz from the United Arab Emirates! ๐ฆ๐ช
Abdulaziz is one of many in his family to study finance at Suffolk University, along with his brothers and several cousins who are Suffolk alumni.
"What I like about my finance classes is that we learn about real-life experiences. We are working on different concepts and topics of finance in different classes," Abdulaziz shared with us.
He has found his finance classes to be very valuable because his professors will bring in different financial professionals to speak to students about their experiences in class. "This has helped me a lot to get to know these professionals, learn from their experiences, and get to know how to go to events, make connections, and to see how the finance industry works in the real world."
