Incoming Transfer Students
This year we were able to secure housing off-site to accommodate our transfer students and additional incoming students. All transfer students were provided a link to our leased space through an Admissions email sent last week.
At this time, we are finalizing the housing applications uploaded through admissions. Today, we will be uploading contact information to a google forum for students to connect and request a roommate. Look out for the email!
In the next several weeks, we will be communicating space reservation. This confirms space. We will not be creating assignments until June.
Incoming Guaranteed First Time Freshman (whose housing application was completed and post marked by May 1st):
Over the upcoming weeks, we will be sending out notification emails via the personal email provided on your housing application. This email serves as a confirmation that a space in our residence halls has been reserved for you.
We have not made any specific building or room assignments. Room assignments will be made in early June and will be emailed to your MassArt email address in mid-June.
Feel free to email us after May 22nd if you have not received communication from our office.
Transfer Students:
As you may know, MassArt is not able to guarantee on-campus housing for both foundation and advanced transfer students. Because we recognize the importance of providing a housing option for students new to MassArt, the Office of Housing and Residence Life has sought out and secured college sponsored off-campus housing with a neighboring Colleges of the Fenway institution, Wheelock College.
We are excited to be able to offer these spaces to our transfer students and sent out several emails to address questions. We also created a google folder for students to take a look at the location, building, campus, area, costs and so much more!
