When we sit down to meditate once in the morning, and once in the afternoon as a new meditator, it seems that not much is happening. We stream a lot of mundane thoughts with mantra weaving in and out, which is the purification of the mind, and simultaneously, the body's biology is doing quite a lot to create balance and harmony within our system. The only bad meditation is the one we don't get to. Every sit is doing something to uplift us emotionally, mentally, physically and connecting us to all of everything. We expand our present-moment awareness each time we sit, allowing us to observe ourselves and all of everything. Being able to do so empowers us to be less reactive and to make loving decisions, which creates more unity in our lives. Meditating is an act of love for you and for the world.

Part of the process of
of meditation is learning
to trust the process. We
are practicing accepting
everything as it is, not
attaching, cultivating a
neutral attitude, being with
everything without
ignoring, suppressing, having
likes or dislikes, letting go,
expanding into the unknown and
so much more.
Meditating is a multi-faceted
experience. It trains the mind
to be aware of the present moment
and to absorb itself into bliss.
Trusting the process is the first lesson
cultivated.

Everyday is Earth Day.
Heaven is in Earth.
I am blessed to have traveled
to far places and live in destination
spots. There is so beauty to take in.

Time is the currency.
It is precious, and we
aren’t guaranteed anything.
Making the most of it and
what you are given is what counts.
So, I ask you,
What does your life stand for?
What is the message of your life?
Does what you
stand for, and your life message reflect
in how you use your time?
If not then get clear
and reevaluate what you are doing.
I have reflected on this a lot since
my friend
dropped his body last week. He was a prime
example of using his precious time
to live fully expressed in pure love and
leave that legacy and imprint on all
of us who knew him. We all continue to
learn from him, and maybe more so in his passing.
He stood for Love.
His message was Love.
And, we all got it.
Such grace to have a
pure example of a life
well lived.

Over these nine days, we are bringing our awareness to these aspects of consciousness ⤵︎
The Puranas describe nine different aspects of Durga, known collectively as the Navadurga.
1. She is the goddess of inspiration, who gives us impetus to start on the spiritual path.
2. She is the goddess who tells us to undertake studies from spiritual books, which will encourage us to continue on the path.
3. She is the goddess of spiritual practice, who motivates us to take up some sort of sadhana (spiritual discipline).
4. She is the goddess of inner refinement by which our mind is progressively cultured.
5. She is the goddess who takes us closer to the divine within us.
6. She is the goddess who makes us completely pure.
7. The Goddess who enables us to give up this delusion of duality.
8. The Goddess who urges us to unite with the inner light.
9. The Goddess who grants us liberation.
These all represent the nine psychic forces leading us to our spiritual evolution. At every moment on the path, one or the other is guiding us. Tune in and enliven your natural birthright of authentic empowerment and radical aliveness.

The number one best thing I ever invested in is learning meditation. I had no idea how it would revolutionize my life.
I was young, in my mid-twenties, healthy yet did not have robust mental/emotional health. I suffered from functional depression, mild insomnia, suppressed grief from being an adoptee, and so on. It wasn’t until I invested in my mental health that life began to change. Sure I did therapy, but talking about mental health issues compared to actually doing a practice that removes stress, unlocks the subconscious, requires your brain, establishes awareness, and expands upon mindfulness is not the same.
The benefits of meditating daily are enormous. Your thoughts create your reality. There is nothing more important than meditating and investing in your mental health. It is the game changer of everything.
