Troop 403 in Cranberry Twp is active with monthly outings. We meet Mondays from 7-8:30 at CCUPC.
Troop 403 took part in helping keep the runners hydrated in the 5k race at Cranberry Community Days.
This year it was a great turn out of all ages! The runners all did a great job and everyone was so thankful to the scouts for helping keep them cool!
Happy 4th of July! Wishing everyone a great day watching parades, spending time with friends and family and watching fireworks! 🎆🎇
Troop 403 leaves tomorrow for summer camp! The scouts will work on their individual merit badges, do team building, learn valuable skills and most importantly have fun with their fellow scouts.
Safe travels.. see you all next week!

Troop 403 had a Fly Tying class at Public Lands. The Scouts had a great time and learned a new skill for their fishing merit badge!
Thanks Public Lands for hosting our Troop!
Troop 403 did its annual bike trip. Oil City State Park to Drakes Well…20 mile round trip!
The scouts had a great time, even though they got caught in the rain!
Memorial Day is a day of reflection and remembrance of those who died while serving in the U.S. military. The holiday is observed in part by the National Moment of Remembrance, which encourages all Americans to pause at 3 p.m. for a moment of silence. As we honor all those who have served let us give thanks for their sacrifice. 🇺🇸
Every year Troop 403 honors our Veterans with Flag placement at the Evans City Cemetery.
Our Scouts are proud to make this part of their service hours.
Our troop competed at Klondike this weekend at Camp Bucoco in Slippery Rock. What is Klondike you ask?? Well, it’s a winter skills and camping event. Where other Boy Scout troops and patrols compete against each other. Troop 403 came in 3rd this year! For having a small troop that is a great job! Way to go Stone, Callen, Morgan, Brayden, Nathan and Maddox!
Today our Troop took part in Wreaths Across America. This is a national event that we have had the honor of participating in at Plains Church in Cranberry Township for the last 3 years.
It is meant to Remember the fallen, Honor those that serve and to teach the next generation the value of Freedom.
Our Troop is small but we value our commitment to Community and Service.
Monday evening our troop participated in a Flag Retirement Ceremony. We had a visiting Cub Scout pack that we taught the proper way to honor the flag and retire it properly.
Our Troop has the privilege of taking care of The Evans City cemetery and most of these flags were from the soldiers graves.
🇺🇸
Let’s give Thanks…
The Troop visited Kentuck K**b, Falling Water, Ohiopyle and Ft. Necessity this weekend for their fall outing. It was a great weekend for all!
😂
Today was roadside cleanup. Troop 403 does a Spring and Fall cleanup of Ehrman Rd. The boys gathered 4 giant bags of trash! It’s amazing what people throw out their car window! We are always happy to help keep the community clean.
The Scouts took part of Moraine Trails 50th year Anniversary/ Camp Bucoco 100th year Camp out. As you can see they had a blast!
Today we honored our Veterans at the Evans City cemetery. We were joined by Cub Scout pack 403 to help perform our annual Flag Removal of the graves. We are proud to be part of this tradition.
The scouts met with Mr. Manipole Cranberry Twp. Supervisor (most of the boys have had him at SV for gym/health) to work on their Citizen In Community merit badge. Thank you Mr. Manipole!
Tonight troop 403 had its Court of Honor. The scouts received recognition for all their hard work this past year. We had scouts that moved up in rank, Scouts that did a polar bear plunge, pipestone ceremony and of course merit badges earned. It was a great night to celebrate the scouts and their families. Thank you to all that joined us.
Beautiful morning to be out helping CCUPC church do fall cleanup!
Enjoy the beautiful Fall Weather !
🇺🇸Happy Labor Day 🇺🇸
Welcome to our page!! Troop 403 is very active, planning monthly outings and camping trips. We meet weekly on Monday nights at the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church. (CCUPC) from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. We provide teaching modules for merit badges at meetings, which provides the opportunity for every boy to earn merit badges. This also allows each boy to have an opportunity to learn how to teach, if he already has a particular badge. We also place an emphasis on public service (one of many pillars of scouting). Taking part in at least six service projects per year, which benefit a number of different organizations. This does not include Eagle Scout service projects, which are in addition to regular troop service projects.
We also know that scouting is supposed to be fun with a purpose, and we like to have as much fun as possible!
Our scoutmaster, Kevin Spark has been in scouting for 20+ years, along with our other leaders we really try to encourage each scout to his fullest potential.
If you are a Cub Scout moving up or new to scouting in general, we would love for you to come check us out!
Please feel free to send us an email or leave a note.
Thank you!
