We are proud to announce the graduation of Officer John Mitchell from an extensive field training program. His hard work and dedication has finally paid off as he now starts solo patrol on night shift! Here is to the beginning of your success at the Carmel Police Department.🌟
🚨 **SCAM ALERT** 🚨
We have been made aware of this starting up again. Please see below:
Beware! Scammers are impersonating Boone County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, attempting to steal your money and personal information. They might call, text, or email, claiming urgent issues or threats of arrest if you don't comply.
⚠️ Here’s how to protect yourself:
1. **Stay Calm:** Real deputies will never demand immediate payment over the phone.
2. **Verify:** Hang up and call the Boone County Sheriff’s Office directly at (765) 482-1412.
3. **Do Not Share:** Never give out personal details or financial information.
4. **Report It:** If you receive a suspicious call, report it to local authorities immediately.
Stay vigilant and spread the word to keep our community safe!

2024 Mid-Year Law Enforcement Fatalities Report Reveals Law Enforcement Deaths have increased by 15% over last year
The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund releases the 2024 mid-year fatalities report depicting fi****ms fatalities as the leading cause of law enforcement deaths so far this year.
Thank you Carmel.
We are thankful for your support and honored to serve.
The revolving door, soft on crime policies and the attacks on law enforcement are an epidemic in our country. Police officers are dying and communities are suffering because prosecutors and judges refuse to do their jobs.
Demand better from your judges, prosecutors and elected officials. If they won’t listen, replace them all.
Deputy Reckling should still alive.

Today we honor 222 fallen police officer’s.
The below news release highlights several important topics for our members.
First, we are so very blessed to work for a community that supports its public safety. We are proud to serve the City of Carmel and we know the members of our community love us. We are so very thankful for the donors that chose to provide protective equipment for our officers!
Secondly, we want to thank Mayor Finkam and others who worked hard to address this issue in a unique and fast way!
Finally, we face dangerous situations daily. These protective items are another tool to help keep us safe.
Hendricks County Deputy Fred Fislar Memorial Fund | Central Indiana Police Foundation EOW April 16, 2024 Deputy Fred Fislar was hired with the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office in December of 2021. He served in the Enforcement Division
Today we morn with our brothers and sisters in Hendricks County. We will walk along side them remembering a hero.
On a daily basis, the police officers serving our community are coming into contact with law breakers that live outside of our community. For this reason, our FOP and community have a vested interest in judges upholding the law. We join our brothers and sisters of Indianapolis FOP Lodge 86 demanding accountability for the judges of Marion County.
Our fallen heroes will forever be honored.
New York inmates will be able to view solar eclipse after lawsuit settled with corrections department Six New York inmates will be able to see the solar eclipse after reaching a settlement with the corrections department following a lawsuit claiming violation of religious rights.
Our members stand with the demands outlined by FOP President Rick Snyder today.
Therefore today (April 5, 2024), our Collective Organization of the Fraternal Order of Police is Calling for the following Actions:
1. ) The FOP Calls on Marion County Judge Mark Stoner to Step Down from the Bench;
2.) We Call for the Chief Justice of the Indiana State Supreme Court to immediately impanel a (CIVILLIAN) Review Committee of the Marion County Court System to reinstate Confidence of the Public and the Police; if it’s good enough for the police, it’s good enough for the judges;
3.) We are Requesting a Meeting with the Governor of Indiana to explore additional Resources and Executive Actions, if needed;
4.) Locally, We Call on Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and the Indianapolis City-County Council to convene a Commission on Criminal Justice Outcomes for Marion County in Memory of Officer Breann Leath and all Domestic Violence Victims (We encourage this as the 2nd Step with a Local Focus of the Law Enforcement Action to Halt Domestic Violence (LEATH) Initiative.)
5.) We Call upon the State of Indiana to Re-Evaluate the decision to make Judges in Marion County unelected by its residents. Judges in Marion County are now Appointed after being Reviewed and Approved by an unelected body. The Citizens only recourse is a Vote of whether to Retain the Judge every (10) years.
A tremendous congratulations to our 2023 Officer of the Year, Officer Todd Robbins! We are incredibly honored to have him on our team and simply amazed at the compassion he brings to this profession. Great work, Todd!
