b. Mental Health Fair –Event was successful games turned out really well
c. Health Fair –Although there was a low vendor turnout , the event was still very successful and students as well as staff were left feeling informed
d. Survey (Preference During a Transaction) –During the Student Health fair, students were asked to take a short survey in regards to the types of transactions (i.e. cash, credit, debit, check) that they would prefer to make when paying for health services and medication. Results were collected by the Chair and Co-chair. The Chair analyzed the results and found that of the 65 students that participated more wanted to seek the debit card option as a form of payment. After discussing the results, the Health Advisor/Staff Person, Janie commended SHAC on their efforts but proceeded to inform SHAC members that due to an issue with card systems in the cashier’s office (overseer of all campus monies); a card system cannot be placed in the Student Health Center. Janie plans to bring this issue up in her board meeting. Janie strongly believes that the Student Health Center would greatly benefit from an atm (one of the reasons being that the current system of those who do not possess cash or check at the time of purchase cost the health center between $800.00-1,000.00/year) Josephine also plans to bring this up in the next ASI meeting.
