“Be boundless. The only limits exist in your head. I come from a third world country, spoke no English, I was homeless, I had nothing. Today I can look back and say the world was literally against me, and I have always been ok. Constantly question yourself, question what is your motivation. I always had motivation but I never knew what for until I joined ALPFA I realized my fullest potential.”

Lunch with Professionals hosted by ALPFA CSULB Student Chapter. 💙
Their keynote speaker, taught us valuable and life long knowledge. For example, before making a decision, assess if it’s practical, attainable, and realistic. At this event, we also had the opportunity to network with students and professionals from various finance, marketing, and accounting companies! One of the many professionals that we met and engaged with is currently working for LinkedIn. He expressed his interest in giving a LinkedIn/Lynda workshop at DH, which is fantastic! That’s an example of how exposing yourself to networking opportunities can generate valuable relationships with professionals who also have a passion for helping students and people, in general, to succeed efficiently in today's economic sector. Overall, great job with planning, organizing, and executing the event .alpfa 👏🏽 We’re proud of you all! ✨

@ UCLA
It was a pleasure to have met Dolores Huerta at ALPFA UCLA’s Inaugural Event called Latinx Professional Business Panel: Building Business Leaders. As a civil rights activist and community organizer, she worked for labor rights and social justice for over 50 years. Alongside Cesar Chavez, she founded the United Farm Workers union plus so much more! Now, that’s the reflection of a legendary leader that has led by example, showing humility, strength, integrity, passion, resilience, dedication, diversity, and discovery! Thank you for inspiring us students to take action in our communities, to have cultural intelligence, and to strive for higher education. Thank you for encouraging us to get involved, to find our voice, and to leave an impact regardless of our background. Thank you for being part of the CHANGE! For championing the rights of farmworkers and Latinos/as/x. Thank you for standing up for your legacy and the legacy of women. ✨💙✨
