After all the hard work that the teens and chaperones complete during their weeklong mission trip, we go on a fun day activity. This year we were not able to go right after the trip with all the participants. Eleven teens and three chaperones spent a few hours at Fantasy Lake in Wake Forest, and enjoyed a Chick-fil-a lunch.

The 2024-25 Monday Night Football Knights of Columbus 6650 Fundraiser is getting into full swing.

Loving God, Creator of all times and places, we thank you for the gift of summertime, the days of light, warmth and leisure.

Thank you for the beauty that surrounds us everywhere we look: the multi-colored flowers, the deep blue of the sky, the tranquil surface of lakes, the laughter of children at play, people strolling in parks, families gathered around picnic tables and the more time to spend with family and friends.

As we open our eyes and ears to the landscape of nature and people, open our hearts to receive all as gift. Give us that insight to see you as the Divine Artist. Help us to realize and appreciate that you are laboring to keep all in existence. Warm our souls with the awareness of your presence.

Let all the gifts we enjoy this summer deepen our awareness of your love so that we may share this with others and enjoy a summertime of re-creation. AMEN.

Mother Teresa Parish's children traveled back in time to Nazareth in 20AD on Thursday. Their travel itinerary included a stop at Mary and Joseph's home, a trip to the Marketplace where they made their own olive oil scrubs at the Olive Shop, and a visit to the pasture for some fun games! They will continue to travel back to Nazareth over the next three weeks to learn about Jesus in His youth. Please pray for our parish children. May God bless them and increase their faith, love, and joy during Vacation Bible School this year.

In honor of our Patroness's feast day, we will host a Blood Drive on Saturday September 7 from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The Blood Connection will have a bus onsite. Did you know that only 3% of the eligible population donates blood? If you are at least 18 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in good health, please consider donating. For first time donors, or those with questions, we will have an information table available after all Masses on the weekend of July 27-28. Reserve your spot now, or meet with a volunteer that weekend.

Truly sweet AND an inspiration to the adults of Mother Teresa Catholic Church. Praise and thanks be to God for these teens.

We are very thankful to the Durham Rescue Mission group for bringing two trucks to take away all of the yard sale leftovers. It made our returning the narthex to normal easy, so that we were ready for the weekend Masses.

This weekend's Yard Sale was a huge success. Because of the amazing sense of volunteerism of our people.
