Cary in on the move! We had another great turnout for our Eye Opener Breakfast series this morning. A big thanks to Kelly Blazey, with the Town of Cary, NC, and Joe Milazzo II, with Regional Transportation Alliance, for updating our members on the state of transportation!
From bus stop improvements, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Triangle highway and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) improvements (and more!), there are numerous and simultaneous efforts underway to seamlessly move people around Cary and the Triangle area. The Wake County Transit Plan has four focused principles to 1). connect the region 2). connect all Wake County communities 3.) provide frequent reliable urban transit and 4). provide greater access to transit.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our Eye Opener Series sponsors: First Bank and Monument Property Group! A special thanks to our Community Supporter: Carolina Hurricanes.

From , "Cary’s growth not just due to natural advantages."
When you drive around downtown Cary, you see things happening, a lot of mixed-use projects with offices and retail and residential units. You can see it on an interactive mapthat shows lots of green splotches, representing active and proposed projects in and around downtown. The construction of the new downtown Cary Regional Library, the development of the downtown park, and street, sidewalk and parking improvements have helped encourage private development.

Check out a recent piece from the News & Observer:
People are moving in droves to the Old North State.
This could be why: North Carolina is home to three of the nation’s top places to buy a home, according to a recent WalletHub study. The study compared 300 cities of varying sizes across 17 key indicators, from affordability and house appreciation to the region’s economic prospects.
Raleigh’s real estate market ranked at No. 4 among large cities and 14th overall. Cary ranked even higher — No. 3 among midsize cities and fifth overall. Durham, also considered a midsize city, wasn’t far behind at No. 4 and seventh overall. Charlotte ranked No. 8 among large cities and 23rd overall.
