We are excited to announce that the NCCU Counseling Program has established a counseling clinic for members of the surrounding community.

The Eagle Counseling, Consultation, and Research Clinic (ECCRC) will provide individual, couples, and family counseling at little to no cost for ages 13 and up. We are offering in-person sessions in our new clinic space in the H.M. Michaux, Jr. School of Education Building on campus in Durham - and via telehealth.

We believe in quality mental healthcare for everyone, regardless of their financial status or insurance coverage.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed this week, there‘s been so much happening in the world. So much to absorb. Lots of 💔 news. Work to finish. The kids have a million appointments and activities and events for me to keep on top of …and I can’t even start with how busy I’ve made myself volunteering to help at school (🙋🏼‍♀️people pleaser who loves to help!)

I need to remind myself to stop and take a breath.

There are so many misconceptions about Postpartum depression hence the need to consciously educate ourselves and the people around us.
These are some PPD symptoms to look out for
1. Panic attacks and anxiety
2. Insomnia
3. Poor appetite
4. Finding it difficult to bond with baby
5. Fear of voicing struggles .
Identifying the problem is the first step to finding solution.
