Martha Jeannetta Coleman-Foster passed at NHC-Rossville on Monday March 25, 2024. “Jeanette” as she was affectionately called was born on December 20, 1948, to the late Fred Coleman and Ruby Gresham Coleman in Chattanooga TN. Jeanette was the only child of this union.
Jeanette confessed Christ at an early age and served as a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Chickamauga GA for many years. Jeanette joined Orchard K**b Baptist Church after marrying Willie Foster. She remained a faithful member of Orchard K**b until her passing.
Jeanette received her primary education at St. Francis Catholic School, Chattanooga TN. She graduated from Riverside High School, Chattanooga, TN. Jeanette also attended Dalton State College, Dalton, GA where she was majoring in early childhood education. Jeanette relocated to Detroit, MI for a brief period with the late Betty King-Eden and late Frank Lee King to help a relative operate a childcare facility. Jeanette returned to the Chickamauga/Fort Oglethorpe GA area where she resided for the remainder of her life.
Jeanette enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She often hosted Sunday dinner for family and friends, and faithfully coordinated the annual Thanksgiving dinner at her son’s place in Decatur GA.
She enjoyed Black Friday shopping with family and friends and enjoyed watching the Bachelor with her friends. She was very active in her church either by singing in the choir or participating in various church ministries.
Jeanette casted her love and care for others broadly resulting in endearing relationships with the following bonus children; Darrell Smith, Joseph (Angela) King both of Chattanooga, Angela Wyckoff (Tracy) Moten of Newnan GA, Brenda (CJ) Johnson of Conley GA, James Dupree of Chickamauga, GA, Micah Smith of Birmingham, AL, and Mark Evans of Decatur GA.
Jeanette had many friends, acquaintances but had a very close friendship with Matilda Warthen, Iris Noblitt both of Chickamauga, GA, and Laura Hemphill of Chattanooga TN. Jeanette and Calvin shared a special bond with the King Family. This bond fostered many memories of holiday trips to Demopolis AL as well as joyful times and celebrations with the late Frank Lee King, the late Betty M. King-Eden, Tina King, Donald Atwood of Brooklyn New York, Rev. Edward L. (Virginia) King Sr, Anthony King of Demopolis AL, Albert (Sherry) King, and Edward King Jr. both of Tuscaloosa AL.
Jeanette also held endearing friendships with various members of the Foster Family of Chickamauga Ga as a result of her marriage to Willie James Foster.
Jeanette leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son, Fred Calvin Coleman of Decatur GA; cousins Ronald (Cynthia) Coleman, Cynthia Coleman Hunter, Sharon Coleman, Ellis Coleman, Darnita Coleman, LaQuesha Woods, Angie Allen, Nicole Coleman, Joyce Coleman, Anita Chapman, Andrew Teague, Carl Nelson all of Chattanooga TN, Angela Coleman Detroit MI, Gerald Nelson of Hanahan, South Carolina, Wanda Coleman of Weirton, West Virginia, Alphonso Teague, and Alonzo Teague both of Johnson City TN; and a host of younger cousins.
Public viewing will be held from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the funeral home. An 11:00 AM funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Orchard K**b Missionary Baptist Church located in Chattanooga at 1734 East Third Street.
Interment: Lakewood Memory Garden EAST.
Susan G. Russell, 85, passed away on March 14, 2024 in a local healthcare facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was born on September 19, 1938 to Zianetta Patrick and Collins Gaston in Camden Alabama.
Susan retired from Parkridge Medical Center. She was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church and a former member of Orchard K**b Baptist Church.
While at Second Baptist she served in the Missionary society. Susan loved hats, angels, her family and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Russell; both her parents; three brothers, Richard Anthony, Robert Lee, and William Gaston; four sisters, Annie Goodwin, Ruby Crear, Lillie Gaston Mooney, and Georgia Mae Christian.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, two brothers-in-law, Charlie Russell and Anderson Russell; three sisters-in-law Lola Ford, Dorothy Russell, and Mary Gaston; special nephew, Frederick (Deandra) Richardson, LaDonna (Frank), April (Quinton), Polly Murray, Louise Gaston, William Mooney, and Janie (Waymon) Bonham; host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2024 starting at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
An 11:00 AM funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Second Missionary Baptist Church located in Chattanooga at 2305 East 3rd Street.
Interment will follow at Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.

Sisterhood Week was definitely God's planning....not ours! As we did began planning & praying 5 months ago....God allowed our planning to manifest! Annie B. Cannon Davis, the sixth of eleven children, was born on November 10,1940 to the late Tom Arthur Cannon, Sr., and Annie Lee Cannon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Davis and seven siblings, Robert Cannon, Virginia M. Reynolds Chestnut, Queen Ester Taylor Walton, Tom Arthur Cannon, Jr., Reverend Lester L. Cannon, Sr., Floyd Cannon and Wanda Faye Pointer Gospel.
Being nurtured in a Christian home, Ann, (as she was lovingly called) accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized into the fellowship of the Bethel Baptist Church of Mayben, Alabama.
She was educated in the Jefferson County, Alabama school system and was a 1958 graduate of Westfield High School located in Westfield, Alabama.
Continuing her education, Ann earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Knoxville College and a master’s degree from Fisk University.
Ann dedicated 30 years of her life to serving Hamilton County Schools by educating and inspiring countless students at Howard High School and Riverside High School and later retiring from Brainerd High School after many years of service.
She was honored as a Teacher of the Year during her time at one of these schools. Ann was a dedicated, quiet, and faithful member of Orchard K**b Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a member of the women's ministry.
She gently slipped into eternal peace on Monday, October 2, 2023, from her home of 53 years. Ann will be lovingly cherished and remembered by her remaining sister, Ella C. Simmons of Gardendale, AL; two brothers and their wives, Sterling W. Sr., and Mary H Cannon, and Reverend Gregory M. and Sharon Cannon. another sister-in-law, Minnie R. Cannon, all of California; a host of nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces; a special friend of endearment, John R. Dodds; two close extended family friends, Frankie Anderson and Christine Hicks; her former students, her community, and the members of Orchard K**b Missionary Baptist Church, especially her “pew pals.”
Ann’s favorite scripture was, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy path.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Public viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
An 11:00 AM funeral service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Orchard K**b Missionary Baptist Church located at 1734 E 3rd St.
Interment will take place at Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.

Patricia “Pookie” Ann Crawford, 73, of Chattanooga, received her heavenly wings on Monday, May 15, 2023, at her residence. She was born August 18, 1949, in Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia to the late John Thomas Crawford and Annie Mae Willis-Garrett. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Orchard K**b Baptist Church.
She was one of God’s great intercessors and worshippers. Those who experienced her prayers felt the divine presence and love of God. One of her last wishes was for her family to pray together. Her worship and honor for God was infectious. She was a light to her family, and she will truly be missed.
Patricia was a graduate of Riverside High School Class of 1967.
She attended Chattanooga State Community College, where she discovered her passion for serving others. She worked at St. Barnabas Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She was retired. Survivors include two children, Courtney Brown and Tori Brown, both of Chattanooga; two granddaughters, Courtney M. Brown and Alexus Brown; two great-grandchildren, Jaycee D. Brown and Nalani C. McClendon; one sister, Anne Morgan; one niece, Kellie Morgan; and one nephew, Kelvin Morgan; step-brothers and sisters; cousins; godchildren; and friends. Patricia will lie-in-state on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Nathan Williams as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
