Champions of Health Care 2024: Dr. John Heise | Chattanooga Times Free Press 09/06/2024

Congratulations to Dr. John Heise, a Medical Society member, for being honored as a Champion of Healthcare.

At 64, Dr. Heise, Director of Adolescent Medicine at Children's Hospital at Erlanger, connects effortlessly with today’s youth—even knowing the latest Gen Z slang like "rizz" (charisma). His ability to relate to teens, both in the clinic and online, makes him a trusted figure in their lives.

As adolescent mental health challenges surge post-pandemic, Dr. Heise remains a crucial advocate, particularly for marginalized communities. He’s dedicated to making healthcare accessible, inclusive, and relevant for all.

Join us in honoring Dr. Heise for his unwavering commitment to guiding and supporting our youth every day. 🙌

Champions of Health Care 2024: Dr. John Heise | Chattanooga Times Free Press There probably aren't a lot of 64-year-old physicians who know what "rizz" means, but Dr. John Heise does.

Champions of Health Care 2024: Dr. Harish Manyam | Chattanooga Times Free Press 09/05/2024

Dr. Harish Manyam’s journey from bioengineering to medicine was inspired by a personal tragedy. Now, as Chief of Cardiology at Erlanger and President of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society, he’s leading groundbreaking advancements in cardiac care, including the first-in-the-country extravascular defibrillator procedure.

His dedication to innovation, patient care, and mentorship makes him a true Champion of Healthcare.

Thank you, Dr. Manyam, for your leadership and commitment to advancing healthcare. 💙

Champions of Health Care 2024: Dr. Harish Manyam | Chattanooga Times Free Press At Johns Hopkins University in the late 1990s, Dr. Harish Manyam was well into his bioengineering studies when a favorite uncle fell seriously ill from a complex set of diseases. Sepsis ultimately claimed his life -- and prompted Manyam to reconsider his career path.
