Are you prepared for a sudden and mighty move of My Spirit?

A professional athlete does not wake up one morning and decide to enter a race. They are ready and positioned to run as a result of months and years of training on a balanced programme of exercise, good nutrition, and rest.

Consistency and discipline in the daily choices of life shape your tomorrows and prepare for what lies ahead. And so it is with you, My friend. Stay focused and keep your eye on the prize. No comparison with others around you; that’s a joy stealer straight from the enemy camp.

Let the Holy Spirit lead you and show you what’s best. Spend time in the Word and at My feet. Nourish, replenish and hydrate well. Build movement and exercise into your weekly routine and take time out for both recovery and Sabbath rest. Throw off everything that would hold you back. Well-being and vitality are your inheritance. The dynamic power of the Holy Spirit is on the inside of you; receive boundless energy, endless strength!

Activation: Spend time in God’s presence and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal your energy gains and energy drains. Where do you need to make change? What small steps can you put in place as a response to this word in order to see transformation?

You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally. I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No lazy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.

A Cup Overflowing with Blessings

As Psalm 23 comes to a close, the psalmist paints a scene that is both dynamic and ironic: a lavish banquet is prepared right in front of his enemies.

Imagine God laying out a feast before you in the presence of adversity and fear. God gives abundantly in the middle of hardship. “You anoint my head with oil,” the psalmist adds, “my cup overflows.”

Anointing with oil demonstrates divine favor and strength. It's like a warrior receiving a blessing before battle. Every obstacle and doubt are met with God's presence. The psalmist’s cup isn’t just full, it’s running over! In God, we have blessings that joyfully spill over into the lives of others.

The psalmist concludes with wholehearted trust:

"Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Psalm 23:6

God's goodness and love are our constant companions, following us everywhere we go. God’s goodness and love surround us and lead to the perfect presence of our Shepherd, forever. There, we will live "in the house of the Lord." Now and forever, we are always welcome in His presence.

As you go about your day today, let the imagery of this passage fill your imagination: a banquet set before you. Your head anointed with oil. Goodness and love following you all the days of your life. ❤️

While things have been quiet on this page for the past month, our work to provide cooperative homeless outreach across this region has continued.

This heat seems to drain all of the excess energy needed to maintain a consistent page, but here come a few posts to highlight a bit of what we have been up to lately.

Pure Gold

My child,

I do not promise you a trouble-free life, but when your life is in My hands every painful experience is an opportunity for growth and transformation into the likeness of My Son. This is the redemptive and sanctifying work of the cross and it is glorious!

In this past season, I know that your faith has been tested like gold in the refiner’s fire and you have chosen to endure through the trials. Rejoice that I am the God of the process as well as outcomes. Now, I am calling you to arise and display the greater weight of My glory in the days ahead. Your faith, which is so precious to Me, has proved genuine, pure, and strong.

Even in the darkest moments, when tears may flow, hold onto the promise that I cause everything to work together for the good of those who love Me and are called according to My purpose for them.

Nothing is wasted in my Kingdom. Let the cry of your heart be that of Job: “He knows where I am going and when He tests me, I will come out as pure gold.”

So be truly glad.There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
