‘Street Cars’ have been all the buzz in the Omaha/CB Metro area recently, but do you know about the first example of an all steel, self-propelled train car in the world? Built across the river in Omaha, Nebraska, the McKeen Motor Car made quite the splash in 1905 when it was built at the Union Pacific Yard.

More great restoration news!! Many of you have been to the roundhouse in Evanston, WY before. But now you can see 0-6-0 #4420 currently being restored there. According to the article, once completed it's possible the switcher engine could run in the area on lines long ago silenced. The roundhouse itself has undergone an extensive restoration as well. If you haven't been to Evanston, make plans to go!
