Throwing back to the “Days of Swole!” Lol 2017-ish 255lbs-ish at 46-ish yrs young.
Saw a post on page about International Men’s Day coming and going and no one knew it existed. It was November 19th.
One day isn’t too much to ask for, is it?! Anyway, I thought the post was worth making. Men need help too!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. American or not. It’s a day of giving thanks. 🙏🍁🦃🇺🇸
And unless you’re in prep, I recommend enjoying the day. Eat what you want. Indulge and enjoy. Get back on track tomorrow. Mental health is important too. 🙌💪
Happy Birthday to the United States Marine Corps!! 🇺🇸 1775-2023
Left side is after surgery and right side is before surgery. You can see how much swelling is in the elbow now(left)compared to the first pic(right).
Bone spur/fracture is fixed and cleaned up.
Tricep tendon is repaired and anchored in the bone. You can notice the drill hole on the bottom of the elbow on the left pic. The tendon is sutured into that ”tunnel.” At least that’s how I understood it.
Four more weeks with no weight bearing and in a removable splint for most of the day. 🤷♂️💪
and today has been my first day back to work since the surgery. Going well so far.
Great times with awesome humans!!
Had to throw in Dexter chillin’ out! 🐾 🐾

X-ray of my fractured right elbow. And the reason my training as slowed way down.
Surgery needed. Looking at a June surgery date. Fun times. Lol
Getting it done down here…
Is still a thing?! 2004 …almost 20 years ago. Wow! Life moves fast folks. Don’t sleep on your goals…get out and get after it!!!! 💪💪💪
My friend and client , and our most recent prep.
We did 2 NPC shows back to back. One in Denver and one in Pittsburgh.
We took a 3rd place in Pittsburgh. Not bad for a natty in the NPC but we can do better. We spilled a little bit and that cost us.
Dropped from 206lbs down to 172.
Always proud of this guy. Works hard and follows the plan all while maintaining a professional career. 💪
Happy Birthday Devil Dawgs!! Ooh Rah!! November 10, 1775
My client and friend at this weekends Midwest Gladiator Mens Physique Masters division.
We didn’t place but we came in 12lbs heavier than last year and leaner. That’s a win right there.
Proud of your hard work and dedication.
Time to grow! LFG!! 💪💥🙌 .76
I don’t post much these days but thought this was worthy…
What we’ve accomplished so far…
I’m proud of his work ethic and dedication to the process. 76
245 lbs 2014 💪🤷♂️
tried for his natural classic physique pro card against a tough class.
Unfortunately, we placed 2nd again but with a much improved physique. While not the result we hoped for it was his best so far.
We dropped 60 lbs in a years time to achieve this result while staying 100% natural.
I’m proud of our accomplishments and of his dedication to the process.
Time to grow and focus on what needs to be improved.
Do your best to be kind. You never know what’s going on under the surface.
Proud of this young man . That’s not saying he hasn’t stressed me out to the max. Lol
We just missed his natural pro card last weekend. He placed 2nd at the contest. Improving on his 5th place showing at our last pro qualifier.
58 lbs down over the 11 months.
Big thanks to for supporting him all the way and going back and forth with me over the last few days leading up to the show!
It takes a team to make the dream!
We’re back at it…training for the next one! 💪🏆
😂👍
In a world that’s upside down…stay positive. Keep moving forward!
after 9 weeks. Let’s Go! 💪
We took a little time to build his total daily calories up to a place where we had a lot of wiggle room to pull from over time.
He’s still eating over 250g of carbs a day and we’re 6.5 weeks out from 1st competition.
If we hadn’t prepared for the diet we’d be in a bad place right now.
2002 We were prepping for the NPC California State Championships.
We competed as a Heavyweights and both placed top 5.
This photo shoot was done in the Hollywood Hills by Mick Hicks. 🙏💪🏆
7 weeks of progress. Down approx 30lbs from start(not in this comparison…approx 15lbs difference in this pic)
We were using a high carb/ low fat diet on the left and we’ve been on a high fat/low carb diet for the last four weeks to improve insulin sensitivity before going into our last eight weeks of prep for his first show in classic physique.
We have a weight limit of 252 pounds to meet for his height oh 6‘5“. It’s going to be interesting and I’m excited to see the final package. 💪🙌 #
Dexter had guard duty while Mocha Joe and I got some shut eye! 😀😂 🐾 🐾
Bulgarian split squats set up to bias the rear leg, Re**us Femoris in the lengthened position.
Your center of mass shifts to the front leg when you elevate your rear leg. By holding the weight at my chest and raising my front foot up, I’ve shifted my center of mass more to the rear leg.
If I held DB’s down at my sides I’d bias my front leg.
You’ll be much weaker in this position so load accordingly. Your rear leg should give out 1st. If it doesn’t, you’ve not significantly shifted your center of mass to the rear leg.
