After a rigorous review by an editor and a faculty board, we're pleased that the prestigious Cambridge University Press & Assessment has accepted our proposal and extended a contract offer for Dr. Gregory Privitera and me to co-author the book provisionally entitled “Toward a Healthy Society: Comparative Perspectives on American Health Care Policy, 1st Edition”. We plan to complete the book by Fall 2024, in time for the US presidential election.

In partnership with Ipsen, a global biopharmaceutical company, BHMA is excited to host an in-person networking session. The Community in Conversation Networking Event will begin with an opening speaker who will kick off a collective dialogue by discussing the representation of Black and African American professionals at all levels and sectors of the healthcare workforce. In addition to illuminating trends like the decrease of Black and African American representation between entry-level and executive-level jobs, the speaker will outline effective practices that foster DEI & belonging and how to integrate them into the foundation of healthcare organizations. Throughout the event, participants will engage in networking opportunities to connect with other Black & African-American professionals and representatives from Ipsen.
