In a recent publication in the Journal of Ethics and Entrepreneurship, Drs. Phillips, Nyonna, and Volker, in collaboration with recent graduates Ashton Weddington and Tim Williams, suggest that slow growth in large firms may be due to undervaluing critical factors in their capital budgeting process.

Specifically, the study highlights how traditional capital budgeting often underestimates the potential of certain projects, particularly those involving disruptive or long-term innovations.
