Welcome to the 2024 TMoM Choice Awards! It is finally here! The 14th Annual TMoM Choice Awards! Nominations start on January 31st and voting starts February 14th.

Edna Harding was a light and an inspiration to many of the families who grew up at Clemmons Moravian Church Preschool. During her tenure, starting as a teacher’s aide then moved to a teacher and ultimately the director of CMCP, her light shown through every interaction she had in her career. Her love for reading and children really radiated during her numerous circle times, as books and literacy were definitely a passion for her. The 25 years she served as a director of CMCP were led with a leader who was kind, compassionate, and above all wanted the best for all the children and teachers that were in her charge. Maya Angelou is quoted as saying: “At the end of the day people won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel.” Ms. Edna definitely made everyone her spirit touched feel important, valued, and above all else loved. CMCP will always remember Ms. Edna in their hearts and soul. Much love for such an incredible soul and may every butterfly that lands in her garden be a reminder of that love here at “the butterfly school.”

The funeral service will be held at Clemmons Moravian Church on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Christopher C. Thore officiating. Call me biased but Clemmons Moravian Church Preschool has the BEST teachers out there. Thank you all for the love and dedication that you give to our students.

REMINDER: Our classrooms and office will be closed from Monday, April 11th through Monday, April 18th for Spring Break. We look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday, April 19th. We hope that you have a relaxing and enjoyable Spring Break and a Happy Easter!!

Happy Valentine’s Day from CMCP to you! We hope you all have had an amazing day and that the children all enjoy their Valentine’s parties and treats.

Due to changing conditions we will now be CLOSED for Monday February 7th. Factors that went into this decision include (but not limited) to the following:

Ice amounts now up to 0.10" for our area (up from 0.06 an hour ago
Numerous accidents in the area that have closed and/or slowed down roads significantly
The ability of our staff and students to arrive safely and on time
I appreciate your understanding as we want to make the safest decision possible for all our families and staff.

We hope that all of our families were able to get out and enjoy the beautiful snow (or stayed in by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate)!! We would love to see all of the fun that everyone had! Post your snowy day pictures in the comments!

Due to a variety of factors, including difficulty getting the parking lot cleared, roads continuing to be hazardous, and the threat of additional weather, the decision was made to go ahead and close CMCP for the remainder of the week. We will plan to reopen on Monday, January 24th.

Thank you to our generous families for all of your donations to the Clemons food Pantry. We were able to collect 132lbs of food! Thank you for being a blessing to our community.
