Join us November 7 at Nocterra Brewing Co. for Conservation Karaoke with DjCorey Fiveknoxsounds ! From 6-9PM we will have karaoke, 50/50 raffle, and our AAZK merch table. During karaoke we will be accepting tips to put toward our conservation fund to help support multiple conservation projects! See you there 🎉

Thank you to everyone who came out and got tattooed on the 13th, and to everyone who donated money to the cause! With your help we raised over $1,900 for the Snow Leopard Trust.

Our Vice-President, Tiffany Mayo, co-accepted an Excellence in Journalism Award at the National AAZK conference that was held last week in Omaha Nebraska. The article, titled "It Takes a Village: The story of an injured trumpeter swan and how she found her forever home just in the nick of time", is about a wild trumpeter swan that was injured in Alaska, and the process of finding her a new home at the Akron Zoo. The article featured authors from Cleveland Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Bird TLC, Lake Erie Nature & Science Center and the Akron Zoo and highlighted how collaboration and quick action made it possible for a happy ending to this swan's story.

Fall is the perfect time for a new tattoo! What better reason to get one than to support Leopard Trust

Save the date! Tats for cats on Sunday October 13th at Fortune and Fate Tattoo in Lakewood Ohio. Come out to support snow leopard conservation by getting a tattoo from 11am-8pm. Flash sheets will be available soon with prices ranging from $50-$150. Proceeds support the snow leopard trust fund.

On Friday, September 27th, your Akron AAZK Chapter will be hosting an event called Rosé for Rainforests at the Winery at Wolf Creek, from 6-10pm. Tickets are $25, and include:

🥂 Admission to the event in our reserved rooms of the winery
🌱 Light appetizers and desserts
🥂 One drink token
🌱 One raffle ticket
🥂 Admission to an educational presentation about rainforest conservation efforts
🐐 If those weren't enticing enough, the Winery also has goats!
