Tonight Wyatte Baptist Church voted 100% to take possession of Hickory Grove Baptist church and re-plant it as The Grove Baptist Church! HGBC voted 100% two weeks ago welcoming WBC to come in and revitalize their church. This is an exciting opportunity for the Kingdom of God! Stay tuned for an opportunity for you to be part of a new church in Tate County!

Hello folks, I wanted to remind you all, this coming Sat., Nov. 1st, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. will be our children's Harvest Festival at Hickory Grove church! There will be games, hotdogs, drink, chips and candy, a cake walk and toy walk and the popular Bounce for kids to have a great time and be in a safe environment. We sure hope you're making plans to come to Hickory Grove day this coming Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014. We'll have special music and a guest speaker, followed by good food and fellowship. Sunday school is at 10 a.m., and worship at 11 a.m. Hope to see you there! Bring a friend! :)

What an awesome service this morning at HGBC! :) Thankful to celebrate with 3 Seniors from 2014, Blake Pugh, Lindsey Henderson and Josh Crawford. We also were blessed in song by Gerald McAbee and we topped off the day with witnessing 3 young ladies being baptized. Sarah Shirley, Etta Grace Shirley and Jordan Henderson...so proud of these young ladies. Bro. Ed brought an awesome message as well. What a great day in the house of the Lord! Make plans to be with us next Sunday. :)

It's Saturday....but, SONday's a comin' folks!!! Hallelujah! He is RISEN! Come join us Sunday morning, 10 a.m. Sunday school and 11 a.m worship. "But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. 2And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus." Luke 24:1-3

Presently, we live in a country where we have the freedom to attend a church of our choice. How long will we have this freedom and how many of us will choose to be in church today, versus other activities we find more important?!?!? Yet, we confess to be "Christian". It's a gorgeous day, one God has made, we should rejoice and be glad in it. :) "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching". Hebrews 10:25. The building will not save us, but the "body" of Christ can help strengthen us, pray for us and love us......are we prefect.....Shoot naw LOL...never will be, but we serve a God who is. :) O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.
