Congratulations to our Members of the Week, Sydney and Troy! 🥳🤩🙌
Sydney is a Class of 26' Forensics investigative sciences major with a science emphasis, from Granbury, Texas. Her favorite album is Certified Depressant by Taylor Acorn. Sydney says "I've loved pop punk music since I was in middle school, so I automatically loved Taylor Acorn's music. This album came out around the time I had multiple exams, so listening to it was a huge stress reliever. She doesn't shy away from her lyrics, and everything she says feels raw and relatable even if I haven't been through the same experiences. It's definitely an album to dance, scream in the car to, and have on repeat!"
Troy is a Class of 25' Multidisciplinary Engineering Technology major from Arlington, Texas. His favorite album is Live Vol. 1 by Parcels. Troy says "Parcels is a funky, disco, groovy, band that hails from Byron Bay, Australia. Mentored by the Daft Punk early on, their songs are calm/mellow or energetic/happy with beautiful vocal harmonies piercing through. In this album specifically, a live continuous set of their recent EP names Parcels at the time, recorded in the famous Hansa Studio in Berlin. It highlights how in sync they are with each other as well as proving how talented each individual is in voice and instrument. They were the first band I saw live in Dallas at Deep Ellum and they continue to include their fans even after amassing millions of listers in a short time span. Every song is a hit in my book, bringing rays of sunshine and a fun vibe no matter where I am when listening by myself or with friends!

Taylor is a Class of 24’ Communication major from El Paso, Texas. Her favorite album is “In The End It Always Does” by The Japanese House. Taylor says “ Since my junior year of high school, The Japanese House has been a constant soundtrack in my life, all thanks to one of my dearest friends. His introduction to their music forever altered my life. This album, in particular, resonates deeply with me as it captures the beautiful synchronicity of individuals swaying together in unison.
