The long overdue results and photos from this year’s competition:
After extremely close scores, A-Team finished fifth overall, was the Overall Performance Event winner, and placed first in the Durability Competition with 20+ laps. X-Team won both pulls, placing first in their performance events. It was a great year with many memories made and lessons learned. Competing in Peoria is always a yearly highlight for us. We enjoy seeing our hard work pay off, making last minute improvements, meeting with industry leaders, and visiting with friends from other schools. We appreciate everyone who followed our progress throughout the competition and supported our efforts to build Tiger 19 and 18X. Here’s to another great year!
A-Team has now completed their design presentation for Tiger 19!

Tiger 19 initial assembly is underway. Sheet metal is in and we are busy sourcing parts and working on reports. Utilizing a few parts from Tiger 17 for our initial mockup before powder coating.
Assembly of Tiger 19 is right around the corner. A few weeks ago we hosted MIG welding training to teach members who had never welded and allow those who have to improve their skills. It was well received, so we will be offering TIG training in the near future.
Night drive with Tiger 9
Congratulations to our two members that received their FFA American Degree! We wish safe travels to them and everyone who attended National Convention this weekend!
The team is hard at work! Completed some electrical work on Tiger 13 and took it for a test drive.
CAFNR Week was a success for the Torq 'N Tigers!
We started the week by setting up for mud volleyball, some members showed up early to till the track and make the mud. The Team even won a couple rounds! Then ended the week with trivia, where the members were able to enjoy some pizza and conversate with other CAFNR Clubs!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by at showcase last weekend!

A-Team light and heavy pulls driven by James Fischer, Trace Chambers, and Will Adkins. An issue with the belt tensioner stopped our light pull short, but we resolved the problem and bounced back, winning both heavy pulls by a large margin.
Fixing the belt tensioner and making a few improvements before the next A-team pull.
