*A Beacon of Hope in Kaitabos Village: The Story of Elder Alex Chumo*
In a remote village where access to healthcare has been a longstanding challenge, one man's dedication is bringing hope and healing to the community. Elder Alex Chumo, a member of our Ecumenical Church Kaitabos, has embarked on an extraordinary mission. After graduating as a clinical officer, Alex returned to his roots and opened a dispensary in Kaitabosโthe village where he was raised.
Throughout his university years, our church stood by Alex, supporting him financially and spiritually. Today, his unwavering commitment to serving his community has led to the establishment of Citylight Ecumenical Hospital, a lifeline for the people of Kaitabos. For years, residents have had to travel over 20 miles to access basic medical care, a burden that has particularly impacted pregnant women. Many have been forced to rely on traditional midwives, who, despite their best efforts, often struggle to handle complications during delivery. Tragically, this has resulted in the loss of countless lives of both mothers and children.
Now, Alex's humble beginnings as a clinical officer symbolize life and progress for Kaitabos. His small dispensary currently serves a community of over 3,000 families, offering a glimmer of hope where there was once only despair. The prayer of both the church and the community as a whole is to see this dispensary grow into a well-equipped hospital capable of providing comprehensive care to the vulnerable families in this forgotten village.
We earnestly pray that Alex's dreams and visions for a healthier Kaitabos will be realized. With support, this small dispensary can become a beacon of health and healing, transforming the lives of those who have long been neglected.
I have attached pictures of the modest room where Alex is currently providing much-needed care. Your support can help us build a future where every family in Kaitabos has access to the medical services they deserve.

When the Supreme Court was established in 1789, the first members came from among the ranks of the Founding Fathers and were almost uniformly Protestant. Of the 116 justices who have been appointed to the court, 92 have been from various Protestant denominations, and 15 have been Catholics (one other justice, Sherman Minton, began practicing Catholicism after leaving the court).[91] Another, Neil Gorsuch, was raised in the Catholic Church but later attended an Episcopal church, though without specifying the denomination to which he felt he belonged.[92] Eight justices have been Jewish, and one, David Davis, had no known religious affiliation.[93] Three of the 17 chief justices have been Catholics, and one Jewish justice, Abe Fortas, was nominated to be chief justice [94], though this nomination was withdrawn in the face of a filibuster.[95]
