CHOICES, a part of the LSS Network of Hope, is the only domestic violence shelter & crisis hotline in Franklin County.
We also provide other services to help victims become thriving survivors.

Thanks to our childcare team and volunteers like Lisa who helped organize a fun outdoor movie night! The snacks were a hit with favorites like cotton candy, popcorn, cookies, chips, juice as well as other sweet treats on theme with the characters of the new Inside Out movie. Children set up their sleeping bags in the safety of our courtyard and enjoyed the show under the stars.
Our dining services team and volunteers made a delicious lunch yesterday, complete with lots of fresh produce for the side options. These healthy options like fresh fruit and salad are available for clients every day!
Our childcare team organized a fun camping day event for our children in shelter! Each tent had a different theme with a special activity inside! The kids loved visiting each one to participate in arts, crafts, music and reading activities. There was lots of fun and laughter throughout the day!
Thank you to Pat and her friends in the Heart of Ohio Basket Guild who made these beautiful basket totes and filled them with much-needed hygiene items like soap, shampoo and hairbrushes. What a blessing!
We are grateful for our partners at Chase for holding their summer donation drive and collecting body wash, lotion, diapers and clothing for our shelter. We are always in need of these items! And a special thanks to Steph for organizing the drive and delivering all the items to us!
Our dining team made a delicious meal of fried catfish with mashed potatoes, green beans, kettle chips, rolls and a sorbet ice cream cup for dessert. Yum!

We had a wonderful time creating original artwork and enjoying snacks with some of our residents. It was a time for fun and healing!
We had so much fun at our teen night! The evening included a movie, popcorn, candy, a nacho bar, other fun snacks and a variety of sodas. Everyone had a great time and asked when we can do it again!

The Emerson Rogers Insurance team came to serve at the donation center and serve at our shelter as part of their “Give Back” program. They served lunch in the kitchen and worked in the donation center putting together welcome kits for kids and sorting various clothing and hygiene products to get them ready to distribute to our clients.
Thank you to Dr. Alisha Grey for visiting us and sharing good oral hygiene practices with our children and families! Everyone really enjoyed the demonstrations and interactive activities. We had lots of questions and participation! Dr. Grey also donated toothbrushes and even checked out some teeth while she was here!

Special thanks to Macy, a high school student in Dublin, who recently dropped off a donation of feminine care and hygiene products for our clients. This past year, she took a women’s studies class and learned about the lack of access to these types of products among women in the United States. She was inspired to make a difference and decided to organize a donation drive at her school! Thank you, Macy!
Our kids in shelter enjoyed attending our Juneteenth party along with their parents last week. There was a bean bag toss game, face paint, coloring, word search activities, hand painting, a jewelry making station and a kid friendly Juneteenth bingo. Each family received goodie bags to commemorate the special occasion.

We celebrate survivors daily! When clients obtain safe housing and exit our program, they now get the opportunity to ring this bell to celebrate this pivotal moment. We are grateful to shelter advocate Varonica for her wonderful idea to add this bell to our shelter!
Our staff held a special Juneteenth luncheon with trivia questions and team building discussions. It was a wonderful time to celebrate this special day together!

The summer camp fun continues! Our children in shelter loved making their own tie-dye and painted shirts! Expressing creativity through hands-on activities is a great way to relieve stress and increase relaxation.
