Crews are making exciting progress on two new pedestrian bridges over the Sugar Run creek near Taylor Farm Park! When the project is finished this spring, we’ll have increased connectivity from the park to our leisure trail system. We will also be adding a pedestrian-activated crosswalk at Greensward Road and Dublin-Granville Road to offer alternate ways to access the park. Additionally, crews will be adding a new trail to connect to the existing trail in front of the Brooksview neighborhood plus a new trail section that will pass by New Albany Presbyterian Church.
Have you lived in our community long enough to remember the New Albany Mill? Occupying the site where BrewDog New Albany currently sits, the New Albany Mill provided area farmers with feed for livestock and horses. Take a few minutes to learn more about the mill’s story in the latest episode of our New Albany History series!
The Healthy New Albany Indoor Farmers Market returns to the Heit Center this Saturday from 9 to noon! Head to healthynewalbany.org/farmers-market to see a list of which vendors to expect!

Congratulations, Matt!

As we ring in 2024, please celebrate responsibly! Remember, don't drink and drive—plan ahead, use a designated driver, or take advantage of rideshare services. And if you see an impaired driver, call 911. Let’s all have a happy and safe New Year's Eve!

Thinking about taking down your tree soon? Rumpke will be collecting holiday trees for disposal during regularly scheduled trash, recycling, and yard waste collection. Do not place the tree in a plastic bag and please remove all decorations. If the tree is over 4 feet, it needs to be cut and bundled. Residents should place the tree by the curb with regular trash and recycling for collection. Thank you!
As we prepare to bid farewell to 2023, the City of New Albany is filled with gratitude for the memories shared, challenges overcome, and the incredible spirit of our community. Take a look back with us on all that we accomplished together this past year!
May the coming year bring us new beginnings, fresh perspectives, and the shared experiences that make New Albany truly special. Happy New Year!
Don't forget that trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day to Friday this week and next week due to the holidays. Rumpke will return to its regular Thursday collection schedule the week of January 8. Thank you!
Did you receive a new TV for the holiday? Or maybe new clothes and appliances? If you need to make room for the new stuff, make sure you’re getting rid of the old stuff properly. Visit recycleright.org to learn more about how to recycle common household items.

Our partners at the Healthy New Albany Food Pantry report a nearly 40% increase in the number of new families needing assistance in the past year alone – and the holiday season is one of the most challenging times of the year. As expenses can be extra tight during the holidays, we know that even more families will need help before the year ends. Please consider helping the pantry to continue meeting the needs of families through the end of the year by making one last donation in 2023. You can click here to give: https://bit.ly/4anlmzI

Today's Wreaths Across America at Maplewood Cemetery was a heartwarming success, made possible by the incredible collaboration of Plain Township Government, Plain Township Fire Department, the City of New Albany, Scouts BSA Troop 450 in New Albany, Ohio, and our generous community. We worked together to ensure that every veteran grave is adorned with a wreath, symbolizing our gratitude and remembrance. We stand united to honor and remember those who have served.

Since opening in August, Taylor Farm Park has become a local favorite for scenic walks, playground fun, and connecting with nature. And there's still more to come! Phase II work is underway and will continue throughout the winter months. This work includes installation of utilities, construction of restrooms and an equipment shed, and the relocation of the community garden from its current location behind Village Hall to its new home at Taylor Farm Park. Completion of the walking paths and an expansion of the parking lot will likely to take place in the spring. As we’ve shared previously, crews are in the process of installing pedestrian bridges across the Sugar Run creek that will provide connectivity from Taylor Farm Park to our leisure trail system. Thank you for your continued patience as this exciting park remains a work in progress!
