We are writing with a heavy heart, to share that the Board has decided to disband MCFSC because we don't have the resources to maintain the group long term.
After much time and consideration the Board met Tuesday and the decision was made based on the following criteria:
· Packing Supplies are low.
· The number of deployed military receiving care packages has dropped and may be less than 5 by Christmas.
· There are no fund-raising events scheduled
· Our landlord gave notice in May regarding potential renters and stated they only need to give a 30 day notice for MCFSC to vacate the premises.
Please be assured that each and every one of us holds MCFSC, and the work that has been done by the group for the last 20 years, near and dear to our hearts…. and this was a very difficult decision to make.
Thank you to each of you who have played a part in MCFSC over the last 20 years. this group has given support to our military and families during some of the roughest times.
