July marks the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)! The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law in 1990. The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in many areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and many public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.

The Open Door team focused on building their advocacy and relationship skills by engaging with various professionals, including Pete and Christine. They also developed talking points on pressing issues facing providers in our field. We had some insightful discussions and it was a fantastic opportunity to interact with outstanding professionals working in our field!
