Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens is a an extensive green reserve at The Ohio State University.
Chadwick Arboretum and Learning Gardens is an extensive green reserve on the Ohio State University campus within an urban setting. Its mission is to provide an educational environment to advance the knowledge of students in their horticultural studies and to be a resource for learning about plants for the campus community and general public.
This coming Saturday, July 20th, Chadwick Arboretum will be hosting an educational bat walk at Arboretum North from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Ohio State student and bat researcher Ayden Van Fossen will lead an hour-long walk around Chadwick Lake, where we will sight Big Brown bats, learn about their ecology, and use a heterodyne bat detector to hear various echolocations. If this sounds interesting to you, please RSVP with the link below. We hope you'll join us for a bat-iful evening!
