[910 am 7/4/24] Here is an update on severe weather potential today. We are expecting two rounds of storms, one in the early afternoon and another in the late afternoon/early evening. There is an increased potential for damaging winds and perhaps a tornado or two, as well as localized flooding, particularly with the second round, primarily in the slight risk (level 2/5) area. Stay weather aware during your Independence Day activities.

Heat, humidity and the potential for severe weather are back.
Here are a few tips to help keep you safe and comfortable:

🌞 Check on your neighbors to see if they need any assistance
⛈️ Know where to seek safe shelter before severe weather arrives
🌨️ Don’t drive through flooded roads
📱Have multiple ways to receive alerts & notifications
Thunderstorms forming this afternoon and evening may produce damaging wind gusts and heavy downpours. Seek shelter indoors if any warnings are issued. Heat and humidity will combine to make it feel around 100 this afternoon, so drink plenty of fluids if you go outside.
