Grillin' and Chillin'. Some fraternal fellowship. Nothing like getting together burgers and brats on a summer afternoon.

Community Lodge sponsored a hole at the 2024 14th Masonic District Golf Outing! Our Past Master of 2022, an avid golfer, takes a moment to pose behind the sponsorship signs. It was a great day for the outing and our lodge is proud to be a sponsor for this annual event.

Two years ago was Community Lodge's 100th Anniversary. Recently our lodge reconsecration carpet, complete with corn, wine, and oil was added to the wall of reconsecration carpets with the other lodges that share the building. A ceremony was held celebrating the anniversary, and this carpet was the both the product and memento of that milestone in our lodge's history. We are looking forward to the next 100 years.

It is a real and physical reminder of the brethren of the past century who built our lodge and carried it through the first 100 years. Their dedication to the craft and what it stands for, the journey of two lodge buildings prior to our present location, being the go to lodge for degree work to help others, the social events and dances, all funnel upwards to the tip of the iceberg of their legacy - now represented by this carpet.

It humbly stands as an inspiration, or better yet calling, for we brethren of Community Lodge to build upon the foundation laid by our predecessors in the 21st Century.

Freemasonry is full of hidden mysteries in plain sight. Because we share our building with five other lodges, our lodge's heritage is hidden behind the veil of a reconsecration carpet framed and mounted on a wall. That carpet is a beacon for our lodge. Our activity far outstretches our minimalist displays.

For those of you curious about why the use of corn, wine, and oil - use the Fellowcraft Degree as your guide and delve into the ancient uses and symbolism of these historic, sacred, and somewhat esoteric customs. Their use goes back thousands of years. The reconsecration ceremony of the Grand Lodge of Ohio recognizes and thus incorporates these emblems in the reconsecration ceremony because of their symbolic importance.

Our newest Master Mason was raised last month. Thanks to all the brethren, and visiting lodge brethren, who put on a great degree. Most had left when the photo was taken, as Master my sincere thank to all who made this a very special night.

It was an historical evening for Community Lodge at our May regular meeting. We had a presentation by Past Grand Master RWB Tim Wheeland of the Grand Lodge of Ohio on the Society of Washington Lodges. These are lodges who who are committed to supporting the George Washington National Masonic Memorial by making a one-time donation.

The Member Lodges of the Society will be listed on the Memorial’s website and on a plaque outside the Replica Lodge Room at the Memorial.

That evening the lodge voted unanimously to make the one time donation. Our PGM is shown receiving a check and application form from our Treasurer. To the right is our Senior Warden who arranged the visit of our honored guest. As master, on the left, I am extremely proud of our brethren for their support of a great institution.

Great Inspection Tonight and we passed our newest Fellowcraft. Thanks to my great officers who made the evening special. Everyone contributed in their own unique way which made the evening absolutely one of a kind for our candidate.

And, thanks to the many lodges of the 14th District who attended. It was inspiring to have your attendance as we passed our candidate to the Fellowcraft Degree. I know he appreciated the show of support of his continuing journey through Freemasonry.

Had a great afternoon of fellowship at Pins in Dublin. Our candidate for Fellowcraft attended and an out-of-town brother joined us. This afternoon was very special and which provided an opportunity to get to know each other better.

This is the start of a monthly fellowship event outside of lodge championed by our Junior Warden with the assistance of our Tyler. As Master I could not have been more pleased. I'm so looking forward to getting together with these super bunch of guys for fellowship and fun.

Great time last light at the 14th Masonic District of Ohio Annual Reception celebrating the Worshipful Masters of the 21 lodges in the district.

It was a fun evening with plenty of fellowship. Outstanding members of Masonic Youth Groups were recognized as well as the presentation of the Fourteenth District's Community Service Award to an absolutely inspiring woman who, despite many personal challenges and losses, has rallied to lead the rebirth of her neighborhood.

What a great time! Last night we had a marvelous evening at our "Ladies At the Table Dinner". Every lady received a rose and was individually toasted and recognized. Italian food was excellent.

Our lodge is blessed to have such beautiful pillars supporting it. Without you, we would not be.
