Today, 48+ million Americans, including over 1.4 million in Ohio, are family caregivers—and they need help now. Caregivers are holding up a broken long-term care system, and the physical, emotional and financial toll on them is great. Each year, they provide $600 billion worth of unpaid labor. AARP is pushing the White House and Congress to act to help caregivers get the much-needed support they need. This AARP Ohio Town Hall features U.S. Rep. Mike Carey and AARP's Rhonda Richards discussing the efforts in Congress to support caregivers. AARP Ohio State Director Jenny Carlson leads the conversation.
