This week, Form IV students got their new band instruments assigned! They unwarpped each one carefully, learned to assemble them, and even got to try to make a few first sounds. To help with this exciting day, band alumna C.C. McLarty '23 was on campus to work with the flutes! πΆ
There was a Unicorn gathering at the Lazarus Reunion back in August! π¦ Shared by Babette Gorman '69, 8 of the surviving 13 family members made it - but a total of 18 Lazarus women graduated from CSG!

Alice Grant, former faculty member and CSG's first dance teacher, will be honored at the Lincoln Theatre this weekend for her incredible contributions to dance in Columbus! π©°β¨
Alice's remarkable career includes dancing with Pearl Bailey and opening the first ballet studio for children of color in Columbus. Her energy and passion left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of learning from her during her time at CSG.
Celebrate Alice Grant's legacy at the Walk of Fame induction ceremony this weekend, Saturday 27th at 7pm at the Lincoln Theatre, 769 E. Long St.

Last week, there was a small gathering of CSG alumnae in Cleveland with Sarah Young Taylor '75, Julie Steigerwald '75, Donna Young '76 and Betsy Steigerwald Yingling '76!
Donna was in town for a visit, so Sarah's husband Steve, former director of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, set the group up with with a great tour. They encountered a whole herd of unicorns π¦, which are at the zoo in preparation for the annual Asian Lantern Festival!

Well done, coders! ππ» Paula's camp offers children a joyful exploration of biodiversity in plants, people, and the arts and sciences. π±β¨

Current CSG senior Muriel Wallace is having an extra special Senior May Program thanks to the mentorship of 3 local alumnae Judges!
Muriel is shadowing the husband of alumna and current parent Mindy Snyder '93. Becuase of the power of the CSG network, Muriel was able to connect with Judge Beatty-Blunt '92, Judge Betsy Luper Schuster '90, and Judge Jaiza Page '02!
From sitting on the bench during sentencing hearings and hearing a jury verdict during a criminal trial, to learning about the 10th District and having 1:1 lunches, Muriel is learning so much thanks to this incredible unicorn community! π¦π©ββοΈ

The CSG Scholarship Walk is a beloved tradition that dates back to 1972! While the location and distance walked may have changed over the years, our commitment remains to ensure that every student who could flourish and thrive at CSG has the opportunity to do so.
The students will walk this Friday, April 19th for a total of 8 miles! We are looking for volunteers to manage stations along the trail! If you are interested, please reach out to [email protected] and we will share a sign up link. It will be a fun day cheering students on alongside current faculty and parents!
Did you know, this past school year, over $2.4 million was awarded in scholarships and tuition assistance to 38% of our student body. Your support of the CSG Scholarship Walk allows us to remain committed to continuing to foster a vibrant school community and ensuring that a CSG education is accessible to families all over central Ohio.
On Wednesday, 13 US students attended the IGNITE National Advocacy Day at the Statehouse, led by alumna Cameron Tiefenthaler '20! Cameron is the Ohio Fellow for IGNITE National, a nonpartisan non-profit that works to educate and support young women as we engage in politics and run for office.
The group got to hear from Ohio State Senator Nickie Antonio too!
