Walnut Hill United Methodist Church
Walnut Hill, a United Methodist community growing in love and humility while reaching out to welcome
“One great reason why the rich in general have so little sympathy for the poor is because they so seldom visit them. Hence it is that one part of the world does not know what the other suffers. Many of them do not know, because they do not care to know: they keep out of the way of knowing it – and then plead their voluntary ignorance as an excuse for their hardness of heart.”

Gather into Christ's holy reign
the broken, the sorrowing, and the sinner,
that all may know
wholeness, joy, and forgiveness. Amen.

Four weeks from today on November 30th, the first Scholarship Benefit Concert put on by HT Drama alumni will take place in the Mark Frazier Memorial Auditorium.
Mark Frazier became known for many catchphrases, or “Frazierisms” as they were affectionately called, during his time as the Head Drama and Band Director at HT. “Walk with me,” one he used frequently, would be employed whenever he was bursting with a creative idea that he couldn’t wait to share with someone else, especially the performing arts students he mentored over the course of his career.
Those three words have become a mantra of our Drama Department, as our staff and students always overflow with excitement at the chance to share their creativity with our community.
With Mr. Frazier’s passing in 2022, The Mark Frazier Memorial Scholarship was established with the singular purpose of ensuring that the performing arts kids – Frazier’s kids – would be able to pursue higher education after their time here at HTHS.
This scholarship is available by application to any Hamilton Township Senior who has dedicated time to our choir, band, and/or theatre program, regardless of whether they intend to pursue the arts after high school.
Nine Hamilton Township alumni have committed to perform at this concert so you may have a chance to see some of your favorite performers from years past. We will release the names of two performers each week leading up to the concert and look forward to seeing you there! The first three individuals committed to perform are:
Anna (Dillman) Cherri - Class of 1996
Payton Peoples - Class of 2018
Nicole (Harter) Godfrey - Class of 2006

Our Story
We are currently worshiping in the church parking lot. The pastor and music are transmitted to 101.3 FM on your car radio. When the weather gets better we will continue the broadcast and also make use of the adjacent shelter house to safely worship outdoors. The service is also shown live on Facebook live on the pastor’s “Jeff Julien” page. Later the service is posted on the church page as well.
