Today KidSpirit's superhero campers and staff dressed up as their very own superheroes for our dress up day! 🦸 Today the halls of Langton were filled with nurses and doctors, 👩‍⚕️ Spider-Men and Wonder Women's, 🕷🌟 and so many other wonderful superheroes. 🦸

These brave and powerful campers had a blast in activities including Superhero training, 💪 Comic Book Making 📚 and Swim Lessons! 🏊 Thank you all for such an amazing Summer! Stay Super!

This weeks staff highlight is Lane AKA "Reign"! 👑

This is Reign's first year at KidSpirit working in the office 👩‍💻 where each and every day they are dedicated to helping others! ☀

Reign enjoys working at KidSpirit because they get to have fun while helping campers thrive. Reign chooses their attitude by following their morning routine and listening to jams in the car. 🎶🚗 We appreciate that Reign comes to work with lots of energy every day! They bring their flexibility and can do attitude to KidSpirit! Thank you Reign! 👑

Today marks the start of the second week of KidSpirit's Spectacular Super Hero Training Academy! 🦸

Today these super campers showed off their balance on the beam in Gymnastics. 🤸‍♀️ Used teamwork while playing field games in the sun. ☀ We are so excited to see what other heroic and exciting times the rest of the week holds as campers continue training to become superheroes! ✨

Today KidSpirit campers and staff had a blast wearing their favorite colors for another super day of camp! 🌈

Closing off the first week of our Super Hero Academy, 🦸 campers created super cool and super colorful crafts! 🎨 Over in the kitchen the KidSpirit Cooking Academy made some out of this world dishes! 👩‍🍳 And campers had a blast swimming! 🏊 We can't wait for another week of the KidSpirit Superhero Academy! 🦸

This week our camper highlight is Danah! ☀

Danah is in our Teen Leadership Academy this session. She is being a leader and working with the Whales group in activities including Gymnastics, 🤸‍♀️ Superhero Training and much more! 🦸 Her favorite parts of camp at KidSpirit are all the fun new activities she gets to do throughout the day. But her favorite activity by far is getting to play sports! ⚽🎾🏀 Outside of camp Danah enjoys playing Volleyball! 🏐 Thank you for being such a leader at camp Danah!

Today KidSpirit campers started their spectacular journey through KidSpirit's Superhero Training Academy! 🦸

Campers expressed their creativity doing arts and craft activities. They climbed to new heights while rock climbing, and over in the KidSpirit kitchen at our Cooking Academy chefs made a delicious lunch! 👩‍🍳 It was another fun-tastic day at KidSpirit, and we can't wait to see what other super adventures this session of camp will bring! ☀

Today wrapped up another spectacular session of camp at KidSpirit! ☀

With the theme Eco-Adventure campers had fun in the sun, ☀ stayed active, and learned all about the environment around us while dressed up as Flora and Fauna for this weeks dress up day! 🌲🌼🌳 Campers had a blast learning how to stay safe in the great outdoors,🌄⛺ they made a splash while swimming 🏊 and even got to plant their very own plants! 🌿 What an exciting week! ✨

This weeks staff highlight is of David "The Fridge"! 🙌
David is in his first year with KidSpirit working as a Head Instructor in athletics, teaching sports like baseball, lacrosse, and many more. His major is Kinesiology with the goal of becoming a physical therapist after graduating. 👨‍⚕️He enjoys helping kids grow at KidSpirit while having fun alongside them as they overcome challenges and learn new skills.
David loves to play any sport he can get his hands on, as well as line dancing, collecting LEGOs (specifically Star Wars 👾), and hanging out with friends. Thank you David for bringing your enthusiasm and your talent to KidSpirit everyday!

Another wonderful day at KidSpirit kicked off week 2 of our Eco-Adventure camp. 🌳🌎🌼

Continuing their journey through the Pacific Northwest campers danced their hearts out while learning a fun choreographed dance! 🕺 Campers also had a blast doing activities including swimming and rock climbing! 🏊 We can't wait to see where the rest of this adventure will take us throughout the week! ✨

This week our camper highlight is Von!

Von always comes to camp ready to have fun doing new things! He says that his favorite part of camp at KidSpirit is making new friends and having tons of fun! Von has been having a blast playing lacrosse, 🥍 and much more during this session of camp! We nominated Von because he is a great at following directions, his attitude is always so positive and he willing to give just about anything his best shot! ☀

Welcome to another fun session of camp at KidSpirit as campers embark in an eco adventure exploring all that nature has to offer! 🌳 Today campers had fun in the sun playing Lacrosse! 🌞 Campers got crafty in our art classes and made their very own bird feeders! 🎨🐥 And our Sewing Camp made their very own creations at the sewing machine! What a fun way to spend the day!

We can't wait to see the adventures that this session is sure to bring!

This weeks staff highlight is of Alannah (AKA Jupiter)! 🪐
Alannah is in her second year with KidSpirit working as an AmeriCorps VISTA on the leadership team and is creating our new preschool Gym and Learn program. She is also a recent graduate from OSU graduating with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Art! 🎨After graduating, Alannah plans to pursue a Masters in Counseling. Working at KidSpirit has meant a lot to her because she is able to watch kids learn essential life skills that will help in and out of the classroom.
Outside of work, Alannah enjoys playing sports, reading, and art! ⚽️Thank you Alannah for being your skills and positive attitude to camp each and every day.

Campers had a blast learning about our world and beyond! 🚀 They got to reach new heights in our obstacle course class, and have fun in a friendly game of capture the flag! This week Janessa is our camper highlight of the week! Janessa always comes to camp with lots of energy and a smile on her face. She is always engaged and participating in activities, making her a stand out camper. Janessa said that her favorite part about being at camp is swim lessons and learning how to dive into the pool! 🏊‍♀️ Thank you for the positive attitude that you bring to camp every day! ☀

We are so excited to announce that we will be bringing back our Gym & Learn preschool program, starting in the fall! Gym & Learn runs from September to June and meets 2x a week for ages 3-4 and 2-3x a week for ages 4-5. Each class is 3 hours and includes gymnastics instruction as well as school readiness and social/cognitive skill building!!

Today we are so excited to highlight the newest addition to the KidSpirit Administration Staff, Sherrie (AKA Mariposa)!

Sherrie is currently working with KidSpirit's Teen Leaders and Counselors in Training and is helping them build the skills they need to succeed. She loves seeing them gain confidence and enjoys building relationships with other staff members and campers at KidSpirit!

Outside of work Sherrie enjoys spending time with her family and critters while remaining busy at the Benton County Fair and in her garden! 🌳🌼 Sherrie is also a very active 4-H leader,🍀 she is passionate about helping youth develop their leadership skills. Thank you Sherrie for bringing your leadership and fun energy to camp everyday! You rock!

What a great way to kick off week 2 of KidSpirit's Time Travel ⏰ themed Summer Day Camp!☀️ Campers adventured through time and participated in lots of fun activities ranging from dodgeball to pottery! We are so excited for another week of camp!
