Assistance League Corvallis

Assistance League's Hygiene Help Program was in big demand this school year. The two chairs Sandy and Cara became shopping experts, gathering personal and home hygiene supplies and delivering to the schools in Benton County. The most requested items were deodorant, shampoo, soap bars, dish soap, toilet paper and laundry soap. Thank you to all our supporters who make this program possible. No one should have to go without these necessary items.

A very special Thank You for two companies that provided a cooling system for the Operation School Bell house. Getting clothing for school kids ready in July, August & September will be so much more comfortable for the Assistance League volunteers! Thank you for helping children & their families in Benton County. Your generosity is so appreciated!

Assistance League of Corvallis was formed in 1968 as a nonprofit volunteer organization whose members strive to develop, implement, and fund our on-going programs to serve people with specific needs in Benton County. Our chapter is composed of more than 170 member volunteers who have contributed over 19,0000 hours last year to make a measurable difference through our five philanthropic programs: Operation School Bell®, Dental Education, Hug-A-Bear, Hygiene Help, and RED (Read Every Day).
During our April Regular meeting, three of our founding members were honored. Carlene, Marty and Carol, thank you so much for your service to our community!

Assistance League of Corvallis invites you to an informal gathering to introduce you to this organization in hopes that you will consider becoming a member. This event will be held on May 2nd. This event is Assistance League's biggest fundraiser of the year. The proceeds are used to purchase new clothing & shoes for school age children, hygiene products for families, classroom books for new teachers, cuddly bears for children in traumatic situations and dental education for 6th graders, all within Benton County.

Assistance League's RED (Read Every Day) Program has wrapped up the year. RED helps build classroom libraries for new teachers in Benton County. All books are reviewed and sorted by grades for K-6th grades. Each teacher receives approximately 50 books.
